Will this oven work in Mexico? There is a 240 Voltage quoted in the specifications. I thought both the US and Mexico has the same Voltage - 110.

Answer:
Not sure specifically about Mexico and it may vary by region there. It would probably be best to get in touch with the local Electrical suppler and compare to the required specifications of the range.
Please see "Instructions / Assembly" for detailed installation requirements. The oven can be operated on a 208 or 240 VAC line.
Models rated from 7.3 to 9 kW at 240 volts (5.4 to 7.4 kW at 208 volts)

Does this oven have leavening mode (i.e. low temperature setting of around 110ºF or 40ºC)? I use ovens for leavening bread or making yogurt.

Easy installation, although the shipment failed to come with a small foam strip that was supposed to go on the back of the control panel, up against the cabinet. I guess its supposed to protect the cabinet finish, but I installed it without the strip. Evidently, this was an afterthought by the manufacturer, as the installation instructions specifically mention where to call and what part number to ask for if the foam strip is missing from your package. Aside from being a little noisier than our previous wall oven, and having a control panel that could be more intuitive, it has been operating very well so far. My wife loves it, and therefore so do I!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great oven Great oven. Easy to use, excellent quality and outstanding value. We bought it to replace a Thermador. We got the oven on sale, so it was half the money as replacing with another Thermador We like this oven better than our old one anyway. I marked down on Energy Efficiency because I haven't had it long enough to really know and "Don't Know" wasn't an option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy Fan I must admit I have not used the oven very much; but the fan runs quite a lot while cooking and continues to run for a long time afterward. I know it is a convection oven and I get that it must have a fan. But this one is very noisy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from avoid at all costs!! My one-star rating is too high for this thing, but there's no zero-star option given. I've had this oven for 2 years now, and I hate it so much that I come back here to vent periodically. I hate it so much that it has changed the way I cook - I used to use an oven almost every day, but because of this thing I've stopped doing that. Reasons: NOISE! (before during and after cooking. I agree with the user who said they just leave the kitchen when it's on; unfortunately I have an open kitchen plan that exposes the whole house to the noise. I have both the plain and convection versions of this oven, and they both do this. Yes, the non-convection has a fan that runs constantly.) PREHEAT time (it takes forever, with fan running the whole time, and actually requires an extra 15-20minutes to get to the temp it claims it is) COOL DOWN time, still with the fan running. The whole process, pre-heat thru cool-down, takes 90 minutes for 20-minute biscuits. Doesn't BROIL (the elements won't stay on). Also doesn't BAKE well - another reviewer simply said "this is not a baker's oven" and I couldn't agree more.) They blow a lot of HOT AIR from the vents (see the complaint below from the folks who can't use the cooktop because the oven is cooking their feet.) It also caused me to cancel my subscription to Consumer Reports, which rated it highly (apparently they don't cook much over there). Replacing these clunkers has not been an option, so I finally took a friend's advice and got myself a countertop convection oven. I checked out the reviews at Cook's Illustrated (no more Consumer Reports!) and got a Breville oven, and I love it!! It's everything these pieces of junk should be but are not. Highly recommended!! My two Whirlpool ovens are now used only to store extra pots and pans . . . .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noisy As soon as you turn the oven on it begins making a humming or whistling noise. I assume it's from the cooling fan, but it is much louder than any other wall oven I've used in the past. A consistent, low level hum would eventually become white noise and could naturally be ignored. This noise, however, is different. It fluctuates up and down and is difficult to tune out. Also, once the oven is turned off, the sound continues for an hour or so, presumably while the oven cools down. The only solution I've found to this is to leave the door ajar once I've turned the oven off. This cools it off quicker and reduces the humming to about 10-15 minutes. Honestly, it makes me dread cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oven air heating up the floor We bought a new home and upgraded all Whirlpool appliances, as we had a good experience with Whirlpool refrigerator/washer/dryer in our previous home. This Whirlpool Gold series oven looks great, but it has a serious defect/risk. It blows/vents very hot air from the bottom, literally heating up about 3 sq ft area in front of it. It is so hot that you can not place your hand/feet in front of it. We are not able to use the Whirlpool stove top cooking while using the oven at the same time. We are very disappointed with the appliance and the Whirlpool service. We contacted Whirlpool support who told us this is normal. Our previous GE oven does not have overly-heating the floor issue. We will not purchase Whirlpool and recommend our friends not to purchase again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good…. My husband was able to install this quite easily as we we were replacing an existing wall oven, and we were lucky that our old oven's measurements matched the Whirlpool's, so we didn't have to adjust the cut-out in the wall cabinet. Although Consumer Reports ranks this oven #1, I had read some complaints about excessive noise from the fan. So far the fan noise has been less than our previous (non-convection) wall oven's. It's more a whistling sound than a fan. We have an open kitchen-dining area and it hasn't bothered us at all. I love the large door and dual lights inside. Still haven't used the self-cleaning feature, so can't report on that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very noisy when operating We bought this wall oven about three months ago and when we use it to bake, broil or convect there is a disturbing "wind tunnel" noise that emanates from the front of the oven and continues from warm up to cool down. We often leave the kitchen when we use this appliance because of the noise. I have contacted customer support and been promised a technician visit and a call back, none of which has happened [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
