Product Overview

The Outdoor Grounded 6-Outlet Yard Stake with built in timer turns outdoor lights on and off at set times. My timer is either on all of the time or off. I can not program it to turn on at dusk and off or 7 hours later. It looks like I am programming it correctly but when I wake up and leave home in the morning my lights are still on then I have to turn it off, manually. Any suggestions?

When I plug my lights into this timer, the lights blink on & off instead of staying light.

Answer:
I have had similar problems and found that the timer was placed in a position where the lights shine on the electric eye. This causes the timer to shut off and then it "realizes" it's after dusk and the lights are signaled to come back on. Try turning the eye away from your lights

Answer:
the timer has to be hidden from the lights when they come on it thinks its daylight and turns them off and then when they go off and it is dark it will turn them back on.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by photocell light sensor with timer Sturdily made and allows you 6 outlets to use. Much better than the fixture it replaced. June 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by For Holidays ONLY use Product concept is excellent. It's too bad they used inferior materials through out the construction of the unit, because I would use this all year round if it was built better. **IF** you use this **ONLY** for the Christmas season, one of these will last you about 5 years or so. I have owned mine for 3 years, and it's still working as advertised, but I have mine fastened to a Wreath (Large wreath for the front door) powering the lights on just that ornament. That way, when it's time to put it up, no fuss, just hang it, and plug it in. MUCH easier than trying to "re-dress" the lights every year. When Christmas is over with, it all goes back in the wreath box, and back into storage for the next year. I use the timers, so it doesn't burn all night, and it works perfectly. I suspect the timer will give out first, as it's the only part that is changed all the time, and it's NOT built to last. December 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Have yet to use. I bought this as a spare for a similar unit that's been giving me intermittent problems. I have yet to use it so I can't rate the performance as yet. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRODUCT DOES EVERYTHING AS ADVERTISED. NEVER HAVE TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT TURNING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ON OR OFF AGAIN. SAVES ELECTRIC TOO. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The ONLY Outdoor Timer I Use Timers are usually a pain in the _ _ _, but this type is superb. Other timers require frequent re-setting anytime power goes out, but with this timer, all you EVER have to do is set the # of hours the devices will run after dusk and then FORGET about it, I've used many timers but this one is the BEST. I'm never going back to other types. EASY as can Be. December 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Still haven't used it Seems to work ok, but shipping took so long that I never got a chance to use it to display my Christmas lights. January 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great for temporary use, like Christmas lights I use this to control my outdoor Christmas lights. They turn on at dusk, and shut off after 8 hours (adjustable). I've had it for about 2 years now and it works just fine. I wouldn't recommend this for any permanent installation, like lighting a flagpole, it just wasn't designed for that. December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lights blink on & off when pluged into timer. Would not buy another one of these because lights do not stay on when plugged in. Looking for something that really works. November 28, 2015
