What is the manufacture date of this 4.25 lb tank: for the # of refillable years/life span of tank?

What is the manufactures date of the specific tank that's being purchased? This date determines how many years the tank can be refilled. All propane tanks have a life span which is based on the manufactures date located on each propane tank.
Buyers beware... as no one every publishes these dates! When I researched on line the number of years a tank is good for I found both 10yrs & 12 years from the manufactures date? (Please check the dates yourself for accuracy)
Once the tank has expired you then have two choices, you can either at a cost, re-certified the tank or replaced it.

4.25 lb. Empty Propane Tank is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for car camping If you use a two burner camp stove and a small grill this tank is the perfect size. A post and hoses makes it complete. The initial cost is a little high as the tank is about $20 more than a standard 20# tank and the post and a couple hose will set you back another $30 or $40, but it is much easier to haul around than the bigger tank and it is cheaper to fill than it is to buy those wasteful 1# disposable cylinders. I paid $2.88 to fill the tank and we used about half of it in nine days of camping. That is about 3 of those disposable tanks which cost $5 or $6 each, plus there is no heavy steel to throw away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heater perfection This little tank is a great size for a tank top heater. A heater on top of a regular sized props in tank is pritty tall. With this small tank a heating system is only just over a foot tall. Witch is better for in the back of a truck or camping.

Its a small one and it fits into a tight space I had in mind when I bought it. Check its measurements before you buy. It sure will be more economical than buying those disposable propane bottles.

This is the perfect size to pack for a camping weekend to run campfire in a can, or a grill or cooktop. Its concave bottom allows it to sit flat without rolling, which is a plus.
