Answer:
Replace the entire spool and string with new. It is designed to work on this product with a feedout when you press and release the trigger by about a 1/4" per press.

Answer:
The spools are easy to replace and available in store or online. Because of the feature to press the trigger and release to feed out line, I do not recommend buying 5/16 replacement line. and stay with the spool and line replacement. It is not that expensive

Answer:
When the machine is turned on the centrifugal force of the head spinning feeds out the line and it is cut to the proper length by the cutting blade under the safety guard.

Answer:
Ordered through Home Depot the WG160 has only one battery. The model number would have to be WG160.3 to include the second battery. That can be ordered through Worx at www.worx.com or 1-866-354-9679.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does everything as promised, but definitely light duty unit Added bonus, can get free replacement spools for life direct from Worx (pay shipping of course; 6 spools for about $9 currently) . Even more helpful since the spool that can be ordered through Home Depot DOES NOT work with this unit. On the other hand, it was actually cheaper to purchase this through Home Depot than buying direct from Worx. Base price higher here, but by the time Worx added shipping, etc. we saved over $30 buying through Home Depot. Used the ship-to-store option and actually received it sooner than expected. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Work 12 in. 2-Volt Great cordless trimmer edger. Lightweight and very easy to handle. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love my WG 160 Worx Trimmer - Multi Task tool Easy to use... Head rotates well for multiple tasks. Battery life use is good for about 200 ft of trimming before swapping out batteries. More than sufficiient for my needs and yard size. I prefer a heavier duty edger use, but it works well. Overall, I would buy again !! June 9, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great trimmer/edger This is a great trimmer/edger for a small yard. The price was very reasonable. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by worx light weight and easy to handle I like it because of the whellso it easy to trim the land and the wheel keep the weight on thhem January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best that I have used in a long time I am passionate about my 5500 sqft yard and this machine does the job of edging and trimming easily. The batteries last just enough to complete the tasking needed. I also have the Worx blower. Performs great just uses a lot of battery power. Usually have about 10minutes on the blower from full charge of continuous use. I bought both about a year and a half ago and the only thing that I need to buy is the bottom cover of the string housing (#61 on parts list) That got worn from rubbing occasionally against the something hard. I will be purchasing two new batteries just for precaution. Great buy and no need for oil or gas. Just worx!! About 3 month ago I bought the hybrid from Ryobi. Had to return because the automatic feed never stopped dispensing the wire. October 19, 2015
