It's a post. I put it in the ground to attach to a fence. It's doing it's job but only time will tell if it will hold up and not rust away. It cost more than I thought it should for a simple tube of galvanized steel but I only needed two to finish a dog kennel.

You know sometime something is just what it is and sending me a review on....lets say a brick is a waste of time....this is a steel pole...I dont know what more they would want me to write about...as Im not an engineer or a chemist I cannot vouch for the quality of the steel in the pole...its does what a pole does ..... hold stuff.....the end.

I used u-bolts to connect this to a scaffold to work off of the side. I used rope to secure the post further because the U-bolts are not "scaffold rated". I also used a safety line tied from post to post that would catch under my arms if the bolt & pole setup failed

I use these pole for qty.3 100watt solar panels stands. I have included some pics. Home depot always has them in stock. They are galvanized so they don't rust and they are very strong with all the wind and rain we've had in Houston these poles never bent or buckled while holding my Solar panels.

Purchased 8 of these as part of a project to keep the deer out of my garden. Arrived in excellent condition. Were easy to drive into the ground, but of course, we had to get up on a ladder to do the driving because they are 8 feet long. Drove them with a handheld sledgehammer then with a standard t-post driver. Both worked fine. Put them 18 inches in the ground for stability, so our deer fence will only be 6 1/2 feet tall even though the fencing material is 7 feet tall. That works fine because it leaves what I'm calling "roll out" room at the bottom to, hopefully, keep varmints from crawling under the fence. That roll out portion could even be tacked down if necessary.
Also purchased from Home Depot with these posts was 7 ft. x 100 ft. Polypropylene Deer Barrier. Quality of that product seems fine as well. Attached it to the posts with regular zip-ties, but now realize I am going to have to devise a way to open up two sides of the fence when it is time to till. Trying to till within the perimeter entirely is very difficult and doesn't make for nice, even rows. Working on that solution this next weekend.
All in all, having just installed this last week, I am satisfied with and would recommend both products.
