Delivered on 1-22-22, freezer worked great until I came home today and all the compressor oil was on my garage floor, freezer no longer cooling of course. Guess it’s my fault for not buying the extended warranty. Sad days when you purchase an appliance for $1000 and only comes with 1 year warranty. Didn’t realize this was a throw away and replace item.

Perfect size for storing a half beef and still plenty of room for other of items.

My old chest freezer was getting louder, so decided to upgrade. I love the upright with sturdy shelves, no more shuffling thru items at the bottom of the chest freezer. I bought an external digital thermometer with a probe that runs to the inside back wall and it stays at correct temp consistently. It does have a very tight seal. I have to hold the top corner of the cabinet with left hand and open the door with my right. If I try with one hand the whole unit moves. But hey, is that really a bad thing? It holds a lot of food! There was so much room, I was inspired to make a bunch of soups, meatballs and spaghetti sauce. It’s in a garage in AZ, I am extra cautious to keep it at least half full, otherwise I freeze bottles of water to keep it from running so much. It’s very quiet.

Right now, we have it in our un-insulated, detached garage and it has been a Godsend. We are hoping to bring it into the basement when we get the area ready for the freeze dryer we are purchasing. HOPEFULLY this happens before the garden harvest. Otherwise, we were assured it will be okay out in the garage. We hope so in Iowa Winters.

Purchased 4/14/2023 Today is 6/15/2023. Opened freezer, lights on (see picture) food ruined. We purchased this unit because it manufacturer information claimed it could keep food cold for 48 hours after power outage. This doesn't apply to failing I suppose. We took food out the day before and lights were on so we did not notice any issues. This was supposed to be a "garage ready" unit that could handle it all. GE giving $150 for food loss = bad joke. Stay away from these products.

Hi, I actually bought this from someone else. They never really used it but it seems great. I turned it off when I brought it home and spend a couple of hours in the hot sun when I open the door it was still very cold inside.

We plugged this in and it got cold. Not freezing cold just cold. Like a refrigerator. Then it was just like warm. Now it is just dead. Not cold at all. It is plugged in the lights are on but the refrigerant system must be bad or the thermostat. Does t work now and never really worked correctly. We will definitely return this. It’s garbage.

was skeptical about the wire racks (accustomed to glass) but unless there's leakage, these will do fine (+ I've added bins to accommodate on the off-chance of failure.) I had NO idea that this freezer was so very BIG inside & out! I am (to my surprise) totally impressed!! I thought I was trading down but I'm now fully aware that I've traded up! Thanks so much GE!!

We wish it came with another door shelf for more storage

We love it very spacious inside.it holding 500lb of meat and stilll room for more. Love the alarm if its open to long.great purchase 21.5cf sits in our kitchen with plenty of room

My wife love the space and the way that looks as so many different future on this freezer. We love it.

The freezer has an enormous amount of space and is very quiet. It’s in my garage and I can’t hear it. Its light is very bright and the shelves are spaced out perfectly.

My wife and I are excited to have our new upright freezer from GE. Just got it today so so far so good! Hope it turns out as good as we anticipate it will.

We purchased this freezer because we had a cow that we raised for meat and needed plenty of room to freeze it. We picked this freezer because of the cubic feet and it is perfect. It is very tall and fits wonderfully in our laundry room. I like that the door switch is up high in the frame of the door and not a sensor at the bottom of the door frame. Some of the other brands have sensors at the bottom of the door frame and malfunction if there is a problem with the door. The seal on the door is very tight and keeps all the items frozen solid. I would highly recommend this freezer to everyone.

Very easy to set up. Went from a 18.5 cu ft. Chest to a 21.3 cu.ft. Up right freezer. Easier to find things.

Tons of space! We love it! We have always been users of GE appliances and plan to continue with that tradition.

I love the door alarm on the freezer. My old freezer was just that, old, and I was always worried about the door being left open!

Such a nice sized freezer. Fits everything we have with room to spare. Home Depot was on time with delivery and very pleasant drivers and they were so careful at installing in our garage. Love that it's frost free and will be so much easier to see all our frozen items compared a chest freezer.

Bought about a month ago and don't regret spending more for the bigger size. Go big or go home. I plugged it in and it was cold enough to swap from my small flip lid deep freeze within 30 mins. No more digging thru piles of frozen food to find what you need!
