Asphalt patch worked well . Used tamper then plywood over patch then drove truck over patch to really compact.

The package I received weighed 36 pounds. When I called Home Depot's customer service at the Gloucester VA store, they told me to bring it back. I live 40 miles round trip away. I asked if they could put one on a delivery truck and I would trade. No. I asked if I would get a discount for the trouble. No. I contacted the manufacturer and their sales rep is bringing one by tomorrow. So much for good service, Home Depot.

I know some users have complained this product takes several days to harden, but it will get firm. In the meantime, put scrap plywood or board over the patched area if needed. Better that it's workable at first to help getting it in the pothole. I used this product 40 years ago in other areas of our driveway, and those old patched areas are still firm and solid, stronger than the original paving. It's a good product, be patient about the setting up time.

Two of the 8 bags I purchased were very dry and did not compact well.

This stuff is okay for small holes but it is not "commercial grade" like the hot asphalt that the pros use so don't expect to pave large, flat areas with it. It does not firm up like hot asphalt does and the edges will crumble. Also, it's very expensive at 13 dollars (before tax) for just 50 pounds when you can get a ton of hot asphalt from your local plant for around 74 dollars a ton if you have a truck.

When we looked this up online, the price was $15.27 but when we went to pick it up, we were charged $22 a bag. Even though we had printed the online page showing the lower price, they would not honor it. The product is fine but the way the staff handled the sale was unsatisfactory. It is a 60-mile round trip for us to shop at HD and we are not happy.

It did the job filling larger cracks thinned with a bit of mineral spirits. It would be nice to find a oil based sand filler for smaller cracks. The Coal Tar stuff ain't cutting it long term.

Great product! I have been using it for years on all my commercial blacktop parking lots.

Works well, once opened pore out and smooth it.

It works so perfect exactly as the instructions tell you.
