    Answer This Question

A:  Quikrete Commercial Grade Blacktop Repair can be used for repairing spots in asphalt milling. We suggest applying at a depth of 1 in – 3 in. Apply in 1 in lifts so that adequate compaction of each layer can be accomplished before more material is added. At that the product be in a confined area it is not designed for curbs or other unconfined areas.

          Doesn't work... it won't dry
We applied 9 bags of Quickcrete to two potholes per instructions. Waited 72 hrs to apply the sealer still didn't dry. We applied the sealer anyway thinking that maybe with everything on it, it may dry eventually. The sealer has completely cracked and the pieces of quickcrete and sealer are still coming off 1 week later. We are now going to have to rip up everything and repair again with another product and reseal, which is additional labor and material costs. Do not recommend.

My review is I used 5 - 50 LB bags going on now about 40 hours ago
3 sink wholes in my driveway - first I used Late-lite super patch 40 Lbs barrows $ 35. Each & it has cured but needed more 5 - bags of the Quikrete 50Lb bags ! Supposedly 24 hours after putting down you can seal cost ! I’m now about 40 hours in w/ the Quikrete , questionably rain 10 hours ago but did not now it’s raining now slightly and the Late-Lite Trowel patch needs 24 hours drying time No Rain ! Which will be this is now Saturday rain - Sunday suppose to rain Monday- Friday morning no rain figure Tuesday through Thursday No rain & temps on Thursday 78 degrees that’s the Trowel Patch drying then for the sealant Latex-Lite Ultra shield Filler Sealer have to wait for weather to agree ! Will see if this stuff works as advertised ! ~ ? “ You’ll read it “ I will post good or bad ! I will promote Latex-Lite & Quikrete or I will slam them on every Media network !

              Not bad
Normally I buy from local hardware store, different brand. Was scared after reviews here. Maybe I got lucky? Filled area in carport that was removed during sewer project. After 2 days and a dusting over area, mildly firm. I did use gas tamper, hand tamp in tighter areas. 2 weeks now. Quite firm. It can still be dug up with ease. My 2 year old tries daily. Being cold patch, it needs ample time to stiffen up. Hope it lasts. Good luck to the rest of you. Patience is needed.

Overall, good product to use in a pinch. I had to fill in some cut lines and a 3 inch hole from a plumbing repair in my driveway. The product matched the surrounding asphalt and went on easily. Draw back is that it has a consistency of molasses and took several weeks to harden. During that time, the product was smeared a little by vehicle traffic.

                Does not dry
My husband worked like a dog to fill in the span between our garage and driveway that settled. This stuff is still squishy and a month! This product should be removed from the shelves. It doesn’t dry. I wish we could get our money back. Now we have to dig it all up and fix another problem. What a mess!

I bought some old stuff that had been sitting there and it felt hard already and looked strange when I opened it and it still works great. I had a problem with it sticking to the tamper more than the road depression it was going in but after using my sneaker and waiting 5 days it's a solid sheet. All the rock in it is 1/4 inch so it's quite hard to feather when you just lay it on top. They should offer a 1/8 version too.
