Rude employees. Dirty store and parking lot. Product display is a mess

I used to enjoy this HomeDepot until last week, I saw not 1 but 2 H.D. employees yelling at a homeless person who tried to stay dry & get out of the rain by sitting in a HomeDepotShed in their lot! parking Lot!! It was terrible & I will never shop there again!

Everything after placing the online volume order for 4 cans TruFuel was a complete fail at this store. Almost 3.5 hours later, the order was still processing so couldn't do safe curbside pickup. Inside, Bashona at the pickup desk motioned us over. She was inexpiably unfriendly from the start. She rolled out an incomplete order of just 3 cans, one of them crushed so we couldn't take it for safety reasons. She never apologized for the incomplete and damaged order or acknowledged our inconvenience. There were still 10 cans showing in inventory and we offered to go look for them in the isle. She refused insisting to go herself. She returned with no cans stating there were no more. She was very unhappy that we wanted credit for the 2 cans she couldn't find. While she begrudgingly processed the credit my wife went to look in the isle to see if she could find any cans. When Bashona completed the credit, she looked at me and said "that's it!" What a way to end an already mishandled sale and how terribly disrespectful. I joined my wife in the isle where we found a display with all 10 cans. We came back to the desk expecting there would be no problem placing the volume discount order for the complete set of 4 cans. Bashona then got even nastier barking "What to you want me to do?" She made us feel like we were doing some thing wrong and that it was a complete inconvenience to her to have to credit the 2 cans and re-place the order. She then said something completely unexpected - "I don't need your head action!" apparently trying to imply that there was some body language she didn't like but that didn't even ever happen. We went out of our way to stay calm and respectful despite her shameful behavior. After she said that, I asked to speak to the store manager and she refused putting her hand up in my face and said "I'm doing it!". We drove 40 minutes to this store since it was one of the few that had any stock. The incomplete, mishandled order was bad enough but Bashona's undeserving disrespect to us and her hateful attitude was uncalled for. This is simply inexcusable. We know that life has been very unfair to many people in 2020 and that lots of families are dealing with sickness and the loss of loved ones and economic hardship. Maybe she was dealing with that and we're sorry. That said, as someone who suffered from being sick with Covid and loosing family members in 2020, that doesn't give me license to treat other people like trash. During this whole event, we felt like actors in an employee training video on what NOT to do! In closing, we've been Home Depot customers for literally decades. A dear family member who we lost earlier this year even worked for Home Depot. Bill consistently earned employee awards and was a customer favorite. It would have made him very sad to hear about the terrible experience we had and the terrible way we were treated. What is Homedepot prepared to do to make this right?

The store employees don't have any knowledge about any of the product they were all just walking around saying that's not my department. They walk right pass me and didn't speak or ask if I need help. And they said they didn't have a manager the day I visited.

I could have used help in finding a product but not one employee asked if they could help me and their were many employees working. I walked the store side to side and up each aisle. I saw many employees in groups of 2-3 back in corners talking or on phones. Plus aisle were messy with products scattered about. I am an elderly women with bad knees who can barely walk and I had to tramps about this large Home Depot on hard concrete floors trying to locate products. I could have really used some help! I wouldn't come to this store other than it is close to my home and convenient.

This store lacks management from the top to the bottom. The store is disgusting, trash and inventory is scattered throughout the store. It is almost impossible to walk through the aisles. Employees could care less about serving customers. It is obvious they are only interested in the paycheck.. There seems to be plenty of employees working but most of the time they are clustered in corners of the store talking with each other. Inventory is mislabeled on the shelves with wrong product and wrong price. Basically this is the most disorganized and unprofessional Home Depot store I have shopped in over the last 40 years. STAY AWAY!

Dennis and Katie in the Paint Department went above and beyond... They were very patient, friendly and helpful.

One thing I did not like I purchase a door in April I had it install no problem with that he was great. They gave him the wrong side door a left not right , so he had to come back to the store. I called and the manager was very rude to me okay lady with is the problem he is coming back to your home with the right side door I had something to do this was waiting my time things do happen. Anderson doors are very cheap.

There is a gentleman that wears a Vietnam vet hat and he is super friendly and I think he does a great job. Also Cashier Evdoxia was very nice and easy to work with.

Nothing is in stock although on the floor and advertised. Associates barely make eye contact for help so I wound up searching for someone. When she couldn't easily locate the product, she just walked away. I had to spend more money to buy replacements for leaking toilets. Very dissatisfied.

Associates are hit and miss. Some have no idea where products even are or don't ask someone else for help so I am made to wander to find things myself. And half of the things that you see online or even in the store on the floor are out of stock with no way to even order them. My last visit cost me over $500 more because nothing I wanted to buy was in stock or even able to have an associate buy so why bother keeping these items on the floor? VERY dissatisfied as a credit cardholder.

I love this store I'm always greeted with smiles....The employee's are so helpful I get all my house plants from here along with other things I need fixed around my house and they always have exactly what I need...Thank you!

Does anyone work here? Are they trying to kill customers by not sanitizing self check out? Done with this shiphole

The Home Depot in Wilmington, DE is only store I go to for my home repair needs. I find exactly what I need, and it's always at a reasonable price. I love this store!

I was lost looking for something. I asked a team member for support. I had the best service with a friendly team member named Joe. He walked with me and found exactly what I was looking for. He was the best.

Had an excellent experience when shopping needed a key made store employee helped within 3 minutes did an excellent job had good customer service. During check out had problems using register store employee was right there to help make my check fast and was very curtious made me feel welcomed to come again and spend my money. Great experience will shop again and recommend to ally friends.

The store was clean and organized and I want to thank the young man in the paint department. I had several questions and he was very helpful. I chose a certain brand of paint that you were out of and he recommended a comparative one. I went back with a couple more question and he continued to be very helpful. The young lady at the register was a totally different story. She was annoyed that I was confused with the system put in place due to Covid-19 and when I asked for help, her body language and the fact that she was busy on cell phone told me that I needed to figure it out myself.

This store offers curbside pickup of items ordered online. The service was friendly and much appreciated during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vernon made my day. He was knowledgeable, nice, professional, and exuded a warm & beautiful personality. He assisted me with finding the right smoke/carbon dioxide detectors and I truly appreciate him coming to my aid. Every Home Depot needs a Vernon. Thank you Vernon .... Your customer service was impeccable and I’ll definitely be back to this location because of you .... Go Vernon!!!!!

The total atmosphere has changed in the store. It's nice to get waited on instead of ignored. I do love the change and I love shopping there once again. Thank you!

I love this location! The associates are extremely knowledgeable, and helpful! I visited this location on 7 different occassions and each time i am surprised at how pleasant and knowledgeable the associates are. They're amazing!

It took a real long time (2.5 hours) to complete my original transaction. Megan in the Appliance Department was friendly and knowledgeable although she got some details wrong. When I called the next day an associate named Sherry was not customer friendly, was defensive and not very knowledgeable. The second time I saw Megan, she was able to answer my concerns although it still took about an hour to do so, but she had a smile on her face.
