strongest concrete in home depot (works in cold weather too!)
the Rapid Set Concrete Mix is 6000 psi, (the rest are 3000 - 4000psi) it sets in only 15 minutes (the rest of home depots products take HOURS to set) Concrete Mix is at structural strength in only 1 hour (competition take DAYS to get to this point) theres nothing bad you could ever say about this product. period.

    Good product
I'm very satisfied with this concrete mix. Be aware, though, that if you use the whole bag all at once (as I had to do), hand-mixing 60 pounds of the stuff with just a gallon of water is pretty arduous.

    Very Nice
I used most of this bag to fill in approximately 2-1/2 sq. ft. hole. I used steel lath as a backing. This product worked as well as can be expected. It took me 2 days to fill my hole but the results are a great looking patch.

Good stuff, but a bit pricey
Most stucco is quite inexpensive. This product is a premium version of basic stucco. Just like the previous reviewers stated, it does setup quite quickly. I find this to be a positive for small to medium sized projects. As the bag advertises, due to it's speed, you really can do all three coats in one day, if not sooner. I've used this on numerous outdoor wall repairs, patches, framing coverings, etc, and i couldn't be happier with the quality. Once dry, it's super solid and durable and ... read more withstands the toughest abuse. It really is great stuff. I do wish it came in smaller bags, however, as if you only use half, the rest seems to harden into a rock and is totally unusable after just a matter of weeks.

    High Quality
We bought this to repair and patch the stucco walls in our basement. Although it was slightly difficult to mix, once we got the hang of the right consistency, it was easy to apply. 50 lbs only lasted us about 30-45 square feet, depending on the thickness of patching needed. Make sure you plan on buying more than you think you need, so you don't have to run out in the middle of the job. Still, you'll be very happy that you purchased this, rather than a cheaper product.

    Great for top coat
I had just installed two windows and I needed to put the top coat on my stucco repair. I usually use the regular stucco mortar, but instead I tried this stucco patch. This stuff mixes very easily. It goes on well and has a sticky consistency - sticks well to the scratch coat. Due to the stickiness, it does leave some trowel marks, so keep an eye out for them and smooth it out before it dries. This material doesn't have as much sand, so the finish is a little smoother than the original stucco. ... read more Also, you use quite a bit of the material, so the cost is pretty high. One thing I will say, for a beginner, this is awesome stuff. It's very easy to apply and to use. If you're experienced in stucco work, you should stick to the regular stucco mix, not this stucco patch.

    Impressive results
I used this product to make repairs to the stucco on my home after having some electrical work done. Holes left by electrical conduit, and the removal of the old electrical panel left the stucco finish cracked and looking unsightly. I chipped away all loose stucco and removed dust. I then painted the exposed surfaces with concrete bonding agent and allowed it to dry before using the stucco patch. This product is incredible. It mixes really easy by hand, it grabs on tightly, and dries fast. As it ... read more dries it gets hot to the touch. The most impressive thing is that it dries super hard and does not crumble when dry like other concrete stucco mixes. The product dries in 20 minutes at 70 F degrees per the package label, however in the Summer time when temperatures are in the 90's it dries in less then 10 minutes. Knowing this, I mixed very small batches and I was able to get the job done with absolutely no waste. After applying the base coat, I was able to match the Spanish lace stucco finish exactly, looking like no repairs were ever done. When dry the product is white. I highly recommend this product, the results are amazing, specially for a first time attempting something like this. The only negative thing about this product is the high price. I found a video made at a Home Depot where a company rep demonstrates the many uses of this product. I viewed that video and learned some great tips and techniques specially how to accomplish the Spanish lace stucco finish. Link provided below.

    Great for patching damanged stucoo
I had some areas under my front door and along the bottom of the house where the stucco has crumbled away. The stucco patch from Home Depot is great for patching these areas. I used a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot to mix the compound with water to prepare the stucco. The instructions give a ratio of 4 parts mix to 1 part water and using putty knife for a slump test which shows it is the right consistency. I used a putty knife to apply it and it gives a great texture that matches my original ... read more stucco. I covered about 8 square feet using half of the package. After about 3-4 hours it is ready to pain. It's a great product.

Excellent product, especially for the price
Product mixes to desired consistency easily with water, and adheres to vertical surfaces well. I used it to repair missing stucco or parging on foundation of house. 10 lbs of product cost less than a smaller amount of other products to do the same job.

    60 Lb. Mortar Mix
Very easy to use. I put it dry into the channels between 4' x 4' backyard patio cement squares, then sprinkled it with water. It hardened beautifully. Piece of cake!

    Easy to use
I use this mortar mainly to stack and repoint (tuckpoint) brick, especially older brick with a lower PSI, because type N mortar itself has a low PSI and is designed to be "sacrificial" during years of expansion and contraction. Anyway it is easy to mix and work with, and fairly forgiving, and easy to squeeze through a grout bag as well as trowel.

    Great mortar mix
I used this to bond pavers to a concrete slab. I used it with concrete bonding adhesive rather than mixing in water. It worked great. I also used it as a grout for the joints by making it more liquid with the bonding adhesive so that I could pour it into the joints.

Excellent Product; Easy Application by Hand for Stone Wall Repair
I have used this product to repair and waterproof an old leaking stone foundation. What I particularly like about the product is its ease of application. The fibrous texture allows for it to be picked up by the handful and pushed into the gaps between the stones. Given the rough texture of the aging stone wall, applying by trowel would have been difficult to impossible. The application by hand worked brilliantly. After filling the gaps, I then applied a surface coat, again by hand, over the ... read more entire wall surface. I had enhanced the water resistance with an alkaline fortifier additive, which, along with two coats of a waterproof paint, have created a perfectly waterproof wall. The repaired would have been an attractive, rustic looking wall if it had remained above grade. I heartly recommend this product for stone wall repairs and suggest you get your hands into the application; you'll be surprised how easily the product can be applied.

Easy to use and very affordable. Great product.
Used it, loved it, Awesome. I use it to cover some bricks on my house for a stucco look. I never did stucco before but this was easy to mix and use. Very please with the outcome. May do my entire house. Highly recommend.

    Versatile, easy to mix/use
I used this product to coat the ugly old concrete block walls in my basement. It mixes easily and bonds well to surfaces. It looks great even as applied by a non-professional. Great option for older walls with the added bonus of sealing up the cracks (although problem areas should be treated with the appropriate materials). Highly recommended.

Good product, but "working time" needs some clarification
I bought this product to level the top of a basement wall prior to installing the mudsill. So I had up to about 5/8" to compensate for. The product needs to be mechanically mixed to achieve a smooth consistency, but a few minutes with a paint mixer attached to a drill works fine. The issue I have is not with the product itself, but with the instructions for the product, which specs a "working time" (where the material will "retain a fluid consistency") of 25 minutes at 50-73degF. I mixed the ... read more product to a flowable consistency, weather was mid-50's and overcast, and I had a maximum of ten minutes from the time I began mixing to the time the product took on a plastic consistency. I had to compress it under the mudsill, so after ten minutes I was no longer able to do so. Working 16 feet at a time on an 8" wall, it was nearly impossible to mix and place the product within ten minutes. The product does stay "workable" for about a half hour, but by that point it's well on the way to setting up and is in no way close to the same consistency it was twenty minutes prior. Also, an important reminder: if you're working on a porous surface (like concrete), be sure to wet it down just before laying the grout. Otherwise the surface will suck the water from your grout and render it useless.

    Great Grout!
This is a great product, especially at this price! We have been using this product on heavy civil construction projects for years. We have used this in underwater applications, above water applications, vertically and horizontally. A grout with a break strength at 6,000 psi in 7 days when placed at a flow able consistency typically will cost between $35-$45 a 50# sack at specialty concrete suppliers. We have had this product tested at accredited testing facilities and it performs consistently as ... read more specified. Yes, it does have a short pot life when at a flow able consistency. Plan your work accordingly.

    The Grout you want
I have used almost every brand of grout available. This is the easiest to work grout there is. In response to the other guys review about the working time only being 10 minutes, yes that is mostly true. But if you work with enough types of grout, that is actually excellent. Still being able to horse it at 25 minutes is not bad either. Some grouts go from peanut butter to rock in less than 30 seconds, some take 6 hours. This is the best for what I do. Only thing that could make it better is if it ... read more was sold in 5 gallon buckets.

This product is 25 grams of pure powdered Citric acid
This product works great. But if you read the MSDS you will see that it is just 25 grams of pure powdered Citric acid. There are cheaper sources for Citric acid since it is also used for cooking and canning. You can find it in bulk for less than 25% the cost of this item. Another way to slow down the set time for Rapid Set cement products is to cool the mix. Keep the bags of cement cool, use cold water, and in extreme conditions you can substitute an equal amount of ice for mix water by weight. ... read more So if you normally use 10 lbs of water per 55 lb. bag of Cement-All, you can instead use 5 lbs. of water and 5 lbs of ice. Also you can use a light colored canopy to keep your pour area out of direct sunlight.

    Worked like a charm!
My first back of Rapid Set concrete turned into a brick almost instantly due to the Texas heat in August. Added in a bag of the Set Control, and had more than enough time to work with it before it started to harden. GREAT!

    good stuff!
prefect for extending the working time as rapid set cement products start curing really fast. I just sprinkled an estimated amount into an already mixed batch of cement. mixed a little more to evenly distribute the set control and went to work.
