    Nice product
The 11.3 type M commercial grade mason mix was perfect for a novice like myself. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. The mortar is premeasured for 500 ml of water give or take. You add the water to the bag through an opening in the top of the bag. Mix the mortar and water thoroughly and use the opening in the bag as your applicator. A great concept for a novice like me!

    Simple & Easy
I needed to do a job around my home. I was intimidated with hauling and mixing 80lb bags. I also would have to purchase additional tools if I went that route. So I started my research, as I do with things I'm not familiar with. I found 1-2-3 Mortar. What a time and money saver. It was so simple and easy to use. Even my wife enjoyed helping with our project. I usually don't write reviews, I felt this deserved one. Thank you 1-2-3 Mortar and The Home Depot. You made my life easier, looking ... read more forward to our next project.

    WHERE HAS THIS BEEN?
The most difficult part of using this product was the change. My crew did not think this was an option to the traditional mortar that comes in 80 lb bags, mixed in wheelbarrows and troweled on. IT IS! At the end of the day, we spend very little time cleaning up. When we are on a job that is visible to the public we get looks and questions about the product. Its a vast improvement over the old way. If only this came in colors and white, I would buy nothing else!!

    60 Lb. Mortar Mix
Very easy to use. I put it dry into the channels between 4' x 4' backyard patio cement squares, then sprinkled it with water. It hardened beautifully. Piece of cake!

    Easy to use
I use this mortar mainly to stack and repoint (tuckpoint) brick, especially older brick with a lower PSI, because type N mortar itself has a low PSI and is designed to be "sacrificial" during years of expansion and contraction. Anyway it is easy to mix and work with, and fairly forgiving, and easy to squeeze through a grout bag as well as trowel.

    Great mortar mix
I used this to bond pavers to a concrete slab. I used it with concrete bonding adhesive rather than mixing in water. It worked great. I also used it as a grout for the joints by making it more liquid with the bonding adhesive so that I could pour it into the joints.

Easy to use and works well
I used this to repair cracks in the cement retaining wall that wraps around our driveway. It was covered with fine cracks and had quite a few larger cracks as well. I'm a new homeowner with very little experience with this type of repair, but this product was super easy to use, and it is holding up well.

    Appears to work
I used this product to fill a hole in the bottom of my basement wall. The hole was drilled from the inside to hopefully channel water from inside the blocks to the new drain outside. The contractors had filled the 1 inch hole with silicone but after it rained there was noticeable seepage from the hole. I removed the silicone and used this product instead. I also used this product to close a small gap where the same wall meets the floor. I am sure that the cement will stop the water in the ... read more drilled hole and am hoping that it will keep water out of the corner too. Again, I am only hoping to stop the water on the inside of the wall long enough for it to find the nearby outside drain. I used a margin trowel to mix the cement in a bucket and used rubber gloves and my hands to apply the cement to the wall and to spread it into the corner. I covered the dried cement with the same waterproof coating as the walls.

This product performed exactly as expected.
I used this for an atypical function yet performance was exactly as I expected from the features and functionality of this product

One of ten had small leak where seam not completely sealed
Used these for an outdoor project where I needed to anchor some fence posts. Package and web site do not mention sunlight / UV resistance ... I'm hoping for the best. Been in use about six weeks and seem to be holding up well.

Packaging is great no tears, or leaking.
these definitely are better than the older plastic tubes. I haven't had any problems with these leaking.

    Good for Spartan training
The Tube sand is perfect for training for spartan races! Pick it up and carry it up down some hills a few times. Cheap and easy to replace if it breaks!

    BEST
I used three different grades for my walk way. This by far is the easiest and best to work with. It's double the money, however worth every penny. Don't waste your time and energy. If you're using Forms this is the way to go.

Padio and Pond project looks and works great.
I selected the 80 lb crack resistant concrete for my patio project because I wanted it to last. The video instructions on the web site were very valuable in helping me understand how to mix, and pour the concrete. I was able to do it in a few batches according to the time I had available. The end result looks very good in my humble opinion. I did the best I could and followed the instructions but I am really not much more than an novice. I have attached a picture because it truly is worth 1000 ... read more words. I am completely satisfied and my wife loves going out to the new patio area. She even likes going outside just to take a look. We worked hard, but it was well worth the effort and the satisfaction of a job well done cannot be overstated. I was also pleased with the color options we were able to add.

    Fast drying
This product dries very fast so you need to working quickly. Top coating my patio with it. Mix very well so no clumps. I used a rubber floor squeegee to spread it quickly. Need to pressure wash whatever you mix it in immediately or it will harden in tub or mixer as quickly as it sets on concrete and you will have to chisel and chip it out. Very pleased with the product. Cold water or ice water will help slow down setting a little longer.

    Great for Concrete Repair
I used Rapid Set cement for my basement walls that were crumbling. Some of the patches were 8" high x 8' wide x 4" deep. I sprayed the area with water first, then I used two different sized paint scrapers to mix the batch and put on the wall. I put maybe an eighth of a bag in cold water for each batch so I didn't have to rush in case it set too quickly. It worked out great! Certainly much cheaper than hiring someone to do it.

    Concrete Repair
I went to my Home Depot and the guy said this was the best for my repair. I was a little hesitant because I had never see it before and it was a little on the expensive side. The guy said to make sure the area was really clean and to mix it with cold water. He actually said put ice in the water. I had plenty of work time with the ice water and the repair looks great!

    Good value for the money
Had sixty 90lb bags delivered to sink post holes for a solar project. Concrete was fine, rented a small mixer from HD and that worked well. Delivery with HD is always a challenge, but the product and the rental mixer were great. DB

Excellent Product - Water Content is Critical
This is a great product for small jobs around the home, but there are a couple of critical items you must be aware of. First off, if you can actually “pour” the concrete, you have added too much water, and the concrete has lost most if not all of its strength. It is Critical you use the amount of water listed on the bag, and that means actually measuring it (I realize there are numerous Pros who can eye ball the amount, but the DIYer should always measure). Adding just a couple of extra cups of ... read more water can reduce the strength by 50%! That means you will have cracks sooner than later. The second item I have found is that most people do not mix the product long enough. If you mix it just long enough to blend the ingredients, then place the concrete, it will harden up on you fast. By mixing an additional 3-4 minutes, the product will be more creamy (for lack of better words), and after you place it, you will have the proper time needed to screed it, the cream will rise to the top and finishing will be a breeze. Most DIYer's seems to want to hurry like a mad man when dealing with concrete, when it should be the opposite. Each step in the process should be done in a timely manner, but never rushed. The whole process takes hours from mixing it to the final finish phase, so take a deep breath and don’t rush it. This is a great product for the DIYer as long as you are consistent with the water content from batch to batch. Plus, make sure that you mix it long enough. Doing both of these things will not only ensure you do a good job, but an excellent one as well.

    Great buy!
sand was used as the substrate in a saltwater aquarium. Looks great, very clean and aquarium safe. Much less than sand or gravel from a pet store. If you are looking for sand for you fresh and/or saltwater tank this is a great buy!!

We used this sand for winter storage of annual flower bulbs.

    Gorgeous in a FISH TANK!
You cannot go wrong with the price compared to sand in bags from pet specialty stores. You pay just over $3 for 50 lbs. where as at a pet specialty store, you pay close to $60 for 50 lbs. In the aquarium with any light fixture, this sand almost glows as it is very white and looks excellent in amazon natural tanks as well as imitation reef tanks. You can pull off any them in the aquarium with this stuff for SUPER cheap compared to something that says it's specifically for fish tanks - says in ... read more the description that it can be used in fish bowls safely, which is HUGE for a fish keeper. I highly recommend this if you are okay and used to cleaning sand in an aquarium.
