Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do you have trunk-or-treat ideas or kits?
Even better than trunk-or-treat kits, we've got everything you need to make your own. Use your imagination and Halloween decorations to create your own trunk-or-treat experience. Outdoor Halloween decorations can help set the stage around your vehicle, while indoor Halloween decorations draped with lights work well inside a trunk. To complete the scene, involve the whole family and hand out candy while dressed in coordinating Halloween costumes.
Do you carry irrigation supplies?
We've got all the sprinkler parts and pipes you need to repair or build your system. When you install a drip irrigation system, you can customize it to water your garden and landscaping perfectly. Update your watering cans and hoses to enjoy your greenery as you care for it.
