This store will greet you, help you, assist you, and be glad you're here! They have smiles for you, and show they care! When I went in the door, I got a friendly greeting and a disinfected cart...what a great start! I was impressed to see associates helping all about--I felt better already-- I had to get in, and out! In a few moments, I was helped too. "Sir, how may I assist you?" If customer service is where its at, then go to this store! And that is that. I got my new toilet purchase, and was on my way. I wish I had more time, because I wanted to stay!

Yes very helpful! My only complaint is they didn’t have the Simpson/Honda motor 3200 psi pressure washer that was listed on the website!

The attitude toward customer health and safety in this store in light of the COVID-19 pandemic is the worst I've seen. It is a shame because it used to be a somewhat acceptable HD.

I know my time of purchase was during the coronavirus but after I made my purchase and went to front to checkout there were no cashier lines going, they forced a self checkout. I have never done this before, I hate the idea of stores trying to force me, a senior citizen to do this at my age. But had to try -----the machine would not take my Visa card that I use for practically all my purchases and in fact had just used this same visa card 15 minutes before this and everything was fine. Tried 3 times would not accept and finally someone came over and we got thru it. I was extremely embarassed as a line formed behind me. Your competitor closeby has cashiers working and I checkout thru there just fine. What gives with you guys? After all there are still ole guys like me that prefer not to do self checkout.

The store was clean, the bathrooms were particularly spotless. I had received an e-mailed announcement of the steps Home Depot stores were taken to keep customers and associates safe. This store is fully living up to it.

Was very clean and easy to find your needs employees are friendly

I purchased a lawnmower and the Salesman didn't even know if a can of oil came in the box. He couldn't answer any of my questions. The gentleman who was letting people in as some walked out did NOT have a mask on. Some employees had a mask and some didn't. It should be mandatory and you should have plastic shields up between Cashier & Customer.

Mieka in the paint dept was great! She was very patient and answered all of our questions. We also loved the paint tool where you can scan and see the swatches on different rooms. Very cool!

If you need assistance ask for Roxanne and you'll see why I shop here. The first I met here she was super friendly and helpful. Thank you Home Depot for hiring great people like her.

I visited the Roanoke #4609 store to return a light fixture my wife and I didn't need as well as pick up an online order. I approached the service desk and Christopher asked how he can help. He was very quick and professional and he took care of my returns as well as my online order. He offered to help load my order into my car too. Once my car was loaded, I walked back into the store and EVERY employee I passed which were at least 9 to 10 asked if I needed help with anything. I can tell you this, the Big Blue competitor down the street does not have the service like Home Depot and it's very rare if anyone ask if I need help. Just wish they would build a Home Depot in Salem, VA

The people in vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners was AWESOME! I learned a lot. Assistance was very easy to find. If someone didn't know something about the product, they would find someone more knowledgeable to help me. My Home Depot was so great that I wonder why I ever went anywhere else, and this positive feeling about Home Depot has persisted for years.

Received great service. Peggy assisted me beyond the call of duty. Thanks so much for her patience. She helped me find all the items that I wanted. It made my shopping experience less tedious. I didn't have to go up and down every aisle looking for what I wanted. Even an item she wasn't sure of, she took the time to look it up on the computer and let me know wher it could be located.

Great knowledgeable staff that is always eager to help with a smile. The store is well stocked and anything not in store comes in quickly. Best prices from what I have found and is always clean and easy to navigate.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's amazing that they seem to know which aisle, and location of anything that I ask about, and will even walk me over there to make sure I find it. Other stores may say, "Aisle 16" and that's it. I like the extra personal touch I found in the Roanoke, VA store.

This Home Depot is now my first-choice destination for home improvement purchases. Associates are friendly and helpful, in comparison to a recent negative customer service experience at competitor home improvement center. Check out the end-caps stocked with clearance items - great values if there is something there you've been thinking about buying or stocking-up on.

Go to the Hershberger store because they are the most knowledgeable, nicest people there to deal with! I just think the other stores need to train some of those younger employees better so they know the departments better that they work in!
