Works great as a paint peeler. When I was slowly removing the tape after painting, it peeled paint off of both the ceiling and window sill. Thanks for nothing 3M!

Better off not using tape at all. I used this tape and got the worst bleed through. It was great for not peeling off the newly painted surface, but I will now how to redo all my lines that this tape should have been able to do. Oh well it was worth a shot.

Did the tape keep from pulling off the fresh base coat? Yes.
Did the tape keep the accent stripe from bleeding at the edge? No.
Normally I stick to my Frog tape, but since that requires the base paint to set for 3 days, I gave this tape a try. It adhered to the wall nicely and the edge looked like it was sealed to the wall quite well, but when I was done; well, you look at the pictures.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Alvin Works for purpose intended
Works for purpose intended.... use it for marking off paint lines and trim lines of doors and window, ceilings and floors.... Nice crisp line when you're done. This delicate one does not lift paint as long as the paint has had time to dry. Don't put it on "almost dry" paint and expect it to avoid pulling up paint. Naturally, the cost of this product is stratospheric.

I always buy cheap painter's tape at the dollar store but this one time I needed the tape to work perfectly. While it's always a big risk to use tape on a painted surface, I was fooled by the 'delicate surface' description. I ended up ruining my project with this expensive tape. The adhesive is too strong!

You'll end up with bleed through if you've got any texture at all on your wall. Edge-lock is anything but that! Now I have another project- touching up my other paint where I had bleed through after my accent wall was complete.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cutter Shouldn't tape be sticky?
I know painter's masking tape has evolved over recent years to be easily removed after 72 hours or so. But this tape has gone too far. It's impossible to get it to stick properly on application. And if you're counting on this tape to seal at the edges to produce clean lines or designs on removal, forget it. Paint leaked right under this tape. I'm still looking for a happy medium between the "permanent" masking tape my parents used and this stuff that falls right off.
