I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site.
Screws attach this strainer to the drain flange. There are two tabs on the strainer base that protrude toward the center of the drain.
Use two flat head machine screws that are sized to fit the drain flange in the floor. They will probably need to be about 1/2 inch long and their size could vary. Number 8 machine screws would be a Read More

After the strainer base is secured, the stainless steel cover snaps into place, covering the screws.
