Customer Questions & Answers

My wooden bed split/cracked at the top. I want to repair the split in the wood. How do I effectively use this glue?

Asked by: Dienamarie
Use it with some clamps to hold the split together. Don't tighten down so tight though that it squeezes all the glue out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds great Easy to work with Bought this glue for a small wood project. It dispenses fine and easy to spread. Holds great after drying. Easy to adjust project pieces after applying glue. Glad to have it in my shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Butcher Block Table with no problems I use Titebond II all the time and find no issues with gluing up butcher block tops. Some of the darker woods though are oily and need to be wiped with acetone before gluing to get a good bond. Also, Titebond II dries fast with very fast grab and if glue up takes too long, the bonds can be affected. For longer glue ups, use Titebond III. Ask to special order Titebond II Extend if you need even longer open time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 8 oz. Titebond 2 Premium Wood Glue Bought this before I went up North on vacation and 3 weeks later when I came back to South Florida it was gummy solid and would not squeeze out. have not used a drop and it is unusable Wasted about $3.00 ? Looks like the tip is turned and not sealed to open air! must have been that way on the shelf as I did not try to use it until I got home. I think it would have taken longer than 3 weeks to go bad but not sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is not that good.. Changed from elemers to tilebond II and now going back to a glue that will hold.. Building a butcher block counter and with five pipe clamps and three days later the wood pops apart. What a deal.. Thanks but no thanks.
