Product Overview

Our humidifiers work by adding invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Maintaining proper humidity levels between 30-50% in your home/office/workplace has been scientifically proven to help prevent the flu and allergies. Proper humidity hydrates your skin, alleviates dry eyes, scratchy throats and can reduce snoring. With a doctor's approval increased humidity can reduce asthma and allergy symptoms. It also protects fine furniture, musical instruments, collectibles and wood floors. Proper humidity makes you feel warmer allowing you to lower your thermostat setting which will save money.

If so would it be best to place the unit upstairs or downstairs? Both levels are about 1300sq feet each.

Answer:
We recommend placing your unit away from a heat exchange and at least 4 inches away from the wall on a level surface. If you have extremely high ceilings, you may want to consider using a smaller unit in the upstairs area. The 3600 feet of coverage is based on tight construction.

Answer:
It's fairly loud with the fan speed on high (F4). Noise level decreases at each lower fan speed. The lowest speed (F!) you probably wouldn't notice it running unless you were standing next to it. It is very quiet on low speed (F!) which is where I run it continuously.

Answer:
On the low speed fan setting it is not objectionable at all. Kind of like a background hum. Hardly noticeable.

Answer:
I have been using mine for 3 months. I take the filter out once a month and rinse it in clean water to reduce the mineral buildup. I expect to replace it once during the season. I figure on using 2 filters per season.

Answer:
We recommend replacing the wick filter at least once per season. You will receive a CF light on your unit after 720 hours of continual use. When you see this light, check your wick filter to make sure it is staying saturated and is in good condition. If it is okay, simply unplug the unit to reset the light.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 178 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent whole house humidifier Easy to assemble and disassemble to clean. Just lift the top off. The top can then stay plugged in for the filter timer. The bottom pan has ridges for the filter and for strength, but that makes it less easy to wipe clean. I have a 3000 sq ft ranch house in cold winter northern Illiinois, and the humidifier keeps up with the humidity level at low fan speed, which is pretty quiet. My only complaint is a fair amount of maintenance. You need to add bacteriostat to every container of water (1-2 per day for me in Jan-Feb), and you need to clean the water container and pan with vinegar and then bleach every 2 weeks. The filter lasts me about 3 months. February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product--very satisfied after 4 months of use Used the unit for 3 month now and am very satisfied with it. Works exactly as described and keeps the humidity very close to the desired level. Instructions are clear and if followed the unit works well. Even though I'm heating with a wood burning insert and the air dries out fast in the Winter, I've had no trouble in keeping the humidity set at 35% in 1500 sq. ft. Noise is not a problem at the low fan speed--hardly noticeable. Water leakage (which I had with my last unit) is not a problem. I have found that taking out the filter and rinsing it gently once a month seems to make the filter last longer. You have to do this to reduce mineral buildup on the filter. Overall, this is an excellent unit and well worth the price. January 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Large tank and easy fill. This machine can do what it was made for. House has been so much better to breath in. Easy clean filters last. We have a softener so salt build up on filter is washed away quickly once a week. Filters last us longer than what is stated in instructions. I would buy this machine again. 5 STARS. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I purchased it!!!!! I was hesitant to order online since I am a "see it in person" person. After reading all the good reviews I decided to order. I'm glad I did. The item was delivered as scheduled and as soon as I received it, I opened it. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow. I immediately put it into service. The bottle is easy to refill and also easy to replace on the unit. It is very quiet and easy to program. December 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Humidifier Yet This humidifier is probably the worst one yet. I had it running for less then 10 minutes, and it already broke. As I was switching through the fan speed the knob got stuck and won't come out again. Then the unit shuts off, and when I went to put it back on, it shut it self off again. Not to mention the unit was dirty when I got it and the filter was mangled a bit. It looked like someone had used it previously. Don't buy this humidifier. It's a piece of junk. February 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice! This item works very well and the controls are great. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Humidifier Quiet, attractive, easy to use, and this humidifier puts a lot of water into the air -- and it's automatic so shuts off when it reaches the set humidity, and let's you know when it needs more water! March 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product great customer support My first unit arrived damaged. The outer case was cracked. I contacted the company who quickly shipped me a replacement. Great customer service. Great to see a company stand by their product. Unit works as expected. I'm in a 2000 sqft colonial. I keep the unit upstairs and seems to adequately humidify the upstairs. Probably would need a second unit downstairs to match the humidity. February 11, 2016
