I was hesitant to order online since I am a "see it in person" person. After reading all the good reviews I decided to order. I'm glad I did. The item was delivered as scheduled and as soon as I received it, I opened it. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow. I immediately put it into service. The bottle is easy to refill and also easy to replace on the unit. It is very quiet and easy to program.

The MA 1201 was purchased to treat a 2400 square foot two level home with 900 square feet located on the lower level. I installed the Essick MA 1201 on the lower level next to an air duct return. I can’t think of anything negative to say about the performance. I have checked the humidity level on both floors with a stand alone hygrometer and it always reads 2% to 3% of the setting on the MA 1201 which is 35%. When initially installed I ran the heating system fan continuously for a short time until the humidity was consistent through the house. Fill times have ranged from 2 days to almost a week. This is generally due to the setting and the outside temperature. With really cold weather filling will be required more frequently along with the possibility of having to move the humidity setting to a higher level. I have no complaints – the Essick MA 1201 has done what I expected.

Simple to fill the tank. Simple to replace the filter. Simple to clean. First fill of the tank drains into the pan. Then you refill the tank and put that into place. As the water in the bottom pan evaporates, it is replaced by the water in the tank... a nice system that gives you two tanks of water for the humidifier. I usually refill the tank once per day. Has four fans settings. Settings 1 and 2 are fine for running without disturbing your peace and quiet. Settings 3 and 4 are pretty loud, but I do use them when I want to get the humidity to a set level fast. I'm able to get the humidity in our 2200 sq ft house with loft to a comfortable level and keep it there. Before the humidifier, our house was static electricity city with all inhabitants having the cracked dry skin to match. That's no longer a problem, and that's what I wanted the humidifier to do.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by N2009 This product performs magnificently!
Immediately, I was amazed on the sleek design of this evaporative humidifier. The bottle was so easy to fill by faucet, very light weight, and was placed back into the base effortlessly. The 4-speed fan is extremely quiet, and I love the auto humidistat feature, which only runs to reach the desired humidity level. I am very impressed with its performance and highly recommend this product!!!

This humidifier has a very simple design, but it works to regulate the humidity in your house. I have it set at 55% humidity on the low fan setting and it kicks on every time the furnace starts blowing out warm dry air. You do have to fill it regularly, about 2 times a week for me, but I have no complaints. I'd rather spend 2 minutes filling the humidifier with water, than waking up with a bloody nose in the morning.

It is a good humidifier, I like that it does actually keep track of the humidity level around itself so that the room does not get to humid, I like to keep the level at about 45% in the room since my house gets very dry. Living in Colorado it is very dry in the winter and spring, so I can keep the humidifier on all night and it kicks on when the room drops below 45% when the heater is going at night so the reservoir lasts a lot longer than I thought, although 3.5 gallons is quite a lot of water.

I read the good reviews and purchased this product. Right out of the box the fan control did not work, Was on low and would go no higher. OK, I could live with that. Used it for about 6 weeks, changed wick, cleaned it, disinfected it, everything it called for. Then it would get to the set humidity level and turn off, but not turn back on. I can turn it off completely and restart it , but it will not restart itself. I have called customer service 3 times now, and have been on hold for 20, 32 , and 27 minutes without anyone picking up. Actually was disconnected twice! So I send an email asking for help, over a week later no reply. I am glad others are happy with this product, but for me the product and the company service have been garbage. Good luck.

We live in the high desert of Wyoming and have very low humidity. Our house is 3,800 sq. ft. (upper level and finished basement) and has a closed boiler system. I bought this unit based on reviews here to replace a smaller unit that quit working and don't know when I've been so happy with a product. We've had the unit a couple of months.
It is very easy to fill by laying horizontally on the center divider in the kitchen sink and swinging the spout over the opening. The tank's carry handle makes it easy to transport to the unit.
We ran the unit on high when we first got it to get the humidity up. Now, I refill twice per day and the unit keeps the humidity at 35-40% on the low setting which is very quiet.
