Yes, rough-in is the distance from the wall (not the molding) to the floor opening.

Cadet 3 2-Piece 1.6 GPF Round Toilet in Linen-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from flushes well and compact this toilet flushes strong. i needed to save as much space as possible in second bath and this toilet worked well. also needed a 10" rough in. i used my own wax seal. for some reason the toilet needed to be leveled with shims when the old different brand toilet didn't need that. but it installed fairly easily. only problem was the flush valve was tightened at the factory and the lip of the valve was on top of one of the tank bolt washers inside the tank. i had to make a trip back to HD to use a extra large channel lock to loosen the flush valve nut and free the tank bolt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Install and great flush action Was delivered promptly and the install was not too hard. The only negative that I had was a leak from the water tank bolts after the install. They caution you not to over tighten and I snugged up the nuts on the bottom of the bolts. Then the leak that I noticed the next morning. I had to tighten up the bolts some more all the while being afraid that I would overtighten and break something. However, it all went well and now it is working great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Serves Its Purpose It's VERY difficult to find a 10" rough-in toilet. So far it works fine. It has only required one flush, its quiet and reasonably priced. It looks very basic, but it fits in our small bathroom. It works better than the American Standard "Standard Collection" toilet that we have in another bathroom That toilet cost considerably more..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tank Tilts Forward - Had to Return The toilet looks nice and was easy to install except for the fact that the tank tilts forward more than an inch from top to bottom. For some reason the tank mounting ribs on the back of the bowl are not level causing the bowl to tilt forward. It not only looked bad but I would be hesitant to place anything on the tank lid for fear of it sliding forward and falling off. After trying to figure out what was going on, I did an online search and found that this is a common problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size & perfect operation This was my first time purchasing porcelain through the mail and it made me a bit nervous to begin with. Then these HUGE boxes showed up, just as Home Depot promised, and all was well. This toilet replaced some old 1970's inefficient toilet that was well past useful life. The Cadet 3 has amazing flushing power and was very easy to install. The size of it is just perfect for the alcove where it sits. We have a 10 inch rough which has proven very hard to find. Thankfully Home Depot had it and at a really great price too. Just wish I had bought one for our other bathroom before the price went back up a bit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES NOT FLUSH Owned product for LESS THAN A YEAR and toilet has a weak flush. Called American Standard to ask for a solution and they sent a flush valve replacement kit. I replaced it and it still doesn't work. I checked all the drains and stack for clogs. No clogs. Super easy to install, but It just doesn't flush.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The base of the toilet was not flat and could not be installed. I found it very difficult to get the tank to stand straight (and not lean forward) and the base was not flat. Shimming after the wax ring was in place, as shown in the home depot video, caused the seal to leak ... repeatedly. Eventually went back to the old toilet and made it work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good toilet for small space. I bought one of these for each of the two bathrooms in my 2-flat. This was one of the very few toilets that fit into the small available space in each bathroom. The plumbers had no trouble installing them, and they seem to operate nicely, though I'll withhold final judgment on quality until I've had them awhile. Home Depot's price was far better than any of their local competitor's, making this a very good deal.
