Customer Reviews

Colony Soft 4 in. Centerset 2-Handle Low-Arc Bathroom Faucet in Satin Nickel with Speed Connect Drain is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice faucet for a good price! I looked around at numerous faucets when I replaced my bathroom sink and vanity. This one was inexpensive, and yet had a nice classic look that went very well with my bathroom. It was fairly easy to install, although the handle on the hot water valve keeps coming loose...Probably user error, and it is easy enough to tighten. The faucet has been in use in the only bathroom in the house for over a year, and it still shines up like brand new. Definitely worth every penny, and is as sturdy and attractive as faucets costing 2 to 3 times the price!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls apart in a year The bonnet nuts (under the faucet handle that holds the stem assembly in place) completely deteriorate within a year. One was cracked open the other was crumbling into powder. Lesson learned: You get what you pay for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from handle is plastic, too easy to brake, nonreliable handle broke after two years, it is a hard to find part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Internal components CHEAP! This faucet looks nice but doesn't work well. I bought 3 and for a couple weeks they worked fine then the handles started squeaking and were extremely hard to turn on/off. I took them off and lubed them w/ food grade silicone - that worked for a couple weeks then the problem returned. I say spend your money on a better brand than American Standard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice-looking, but a pain to install I'm trying to upgrade fixtures at a low cost to sell my house. These look very nice and seem to be of good quality for the price. However, the "speed connect" drain was a horrible pain! It never worked correctly on either sink. American Standard's manuals/specs aren't very helpful, so we gave up. I ended up replacing them with more expensive faucets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cadet A year after purchasing this item, the hot water started leaking. The bonnet nut that held the cartridge in place had rotted and cracked. It was so obviously of poor quality. Will not purchase this again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two Stars for Two Years We installed this fixture two years ago when we renovated our bathroom. It looked nice and seemed OK. We noticed water would accumulate near the base. The sink had to be wiped each time you ran the water. The other day the hot water continued to run even though it was in the OFF position. A little research help me identify some of the better brands. Last night my wife was nearly scalded when the handle blew off the sink. I cut off the hot water and picked up a different faucet for replacement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Price for Decent Product I gave this faucet a 4 star because we have been looking for an inexpensive faucet that is of decent quality. This one fits the bill. There are faucets out there with much better quality, but many customers are looking for something inexpensive and as a plumbing contractor we will only install something we feel will not leak or need service. This one is a good compromise.
