CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect fit, easy installation I own three American Standard toilets that are twenty or so years old. For the past several years, I have been trying to find replacement flush valves for them as slow leaks had developed over time. All generic units I tried were poor fits. When I found the genuine AS part on line, I was delighted. The part was a snap to install (took less than five minutes for everything) and stopped the slow leaks entirely. Very glad to have found the part at a reasonable price May 15, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Product would be better if it included a fastener for the lift rod The part seems well-built enough, but there's no clip or fastener included to secure the chain to the flush handle lift rod. Because of that, I had to just tie it in a little knot and re-tie if periodically until I can locate an appropriate fastener. While it's a kind of small gripe, it's annoying to not have that component. Shipping was fast from Home Depot, but the item itself was the thing. Still, if you have a toilet like mine that won't accept "universal" kits, this is what we have to work with. November 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by May still leak This may be your last resort in stopping a slowly leaking American Standard. After replacing the entire valve and seat, the toilet still leaks although much more slowly. July 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Replacement for original part I needed to replace my flush valve assembly on my 1957 Standard one-piece toilet. After a slight panic in having one of the three original screw-heads strip, the install was a breeze. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes and now I have a toilet that flushes every time and doesn't leak water continuously into the bowl. The quality is not as high as the original, but the fact that there are no metal parts in the assembly to rush in the water more than offsets this. If you need to replace your original don't hesitate to buy this replacement. Money well spent! June 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Only One That Works This valve is a little pricy but don't even bother looking for something else. This is the only one that works with this American Standard Toilet. Believe me I've wasted plenty of time and money and this one does work. The others will allow water to slowly bypass the stopper and you constantly waste water and hear the tank valve come on. It took less than three min to install. July 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This was the answer to our problems! We were having a lot of issues with our American Standard one-piece toilet, which was an older model. It was seeping water between the tank and bowl, would not flush...This was the answer to all of our problems. Once we installed this part, we have not had a single problem again. Lifesaver! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works good I just installed these and they work. For 20 years, I've had trouble with the water level leaking down on our one piece AS toilets. I replaced the flush valves with new ones from Lowes and they leaked down even worse, and the amount of time the valve would stay open was too short. I had to modify the water drain holes in them. . I then bought some on line from a plumbing supply house thinking that quality would be better. The price of those flush valves were about twice the Lowes price. They still leaked down and the valve open time was too short. . I finally got these, which are an American Standard package. Amazing. Although they look the same basically as all my previous, these work. No leaking. The valve open time is perfect. And....the price is right. I recommend them. April 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This item fixed a long time problem The right product at a fair price. It was easy to install. My toilet is as good as new. I did not want to replace my toilet for a new one. Saved a lot of cash August 13, 2013
