Will this give us total privacy? We want to make sure that when we have to go into a real lockdown the intruder cannot see in the rooms. If this isn't the right covering do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much for your help.

This product allows light through. A person cannot see through it, but shadows might be able to be seen if the light is coming in.

Blue Chip is somewhat translucent, and shadows and shapes may be visible from the outside. The farther away from the window the object, the less detail is visible.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Crafty Alternative I bought a large glass vase from Michaels and used this window film to cover it for two reasons-I could hide the toilet paper and also it isn't permanent and I could take it off to clean or change the look. I found a top (not shown) at Goodwill and painted it white to keep the dirt out of the holder. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice! Bought it to cover an old window (that had gotten moisture in between the double glass) until I'm able to replace it. Looks great! I've used this product before & its easy to apply & always looks good. Plenty of options too. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good solution for windows where you need privacy and lighting First time using this type of product. Had a few odd shaped windows that needed to provide privacy without blocking natural lighting, where blinds weren't a good option. It took awhile to cut all the pieces to fit the panes, but results were pretty good, it looks like privacy glass unless you check closely to see the small gaps at the edges. Had a couple places where bubbles appeared a few days later, but you can go back afterwards and reapply sections and seems to adhere well. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Window treatment Easy to cut and install. Used on bathroom window to frost area August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect to mask cluttered books I purchased this film to mask the cluttered books in our "antique" book case. The glass was crystal clear and the various books, kids movies, extra school supplies, etc... were starting to look cluttered. I didn't want to permanently alter the glass but I wanted to mask the mess. This cling was perfect. I measured and cut it with scissors first while it was still on the backing paper. I cleaned the glass first then sprayed it with water that I had put a squirt of dawn in. The film is nice and thick and went on great and slid right into place. I just had a few bubbles to squeegee out with the provided squeegee. The pictures don't do it justice. It looks so authentic and was the perfect addition to this vintage piece. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by average every year purchase easy to apply, worked for intended purpose of obscuring view through windows yet lets light into the rooms! March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Decorative window film I bought the film to cover the glass in my front door. I still wanted the light to come in, but didn't like people to be able to see in. This product fulfilled both of these objectives perfectly. It was very easy to apply and will also be easily removed if I want to take it down. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Inexpensive Alternative for Privacy Directions were forthright and easy to follow. Just needed a spray bottle of water, a blade for cutting to size, and a clean window and I was all set since the squeegee is included with the film. Looks good and adds privacy to my bathroom window that faces the street. Just be aware that if your window is in full summer sun (as mine is), you will probably have to replace the film every couple of years. That is fine with me - the film is cheap enough, and hey, I might try a different pattern next time. Would definitely buy again. June 9, 2015
