The product was easy to assemble and provided the results I needed to remove white paint ingrained in the groves of the surface from a wooden mailbox post, which did not come completely off with the liquid stripper.

It is probably fine for metal and hard stone, but because the wire brushes are so aggressive, it can damage wood once the brush penetrates through the surface coating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool to remove paint. I needed to remove a large amount of paint from the siding of my house and had no intention of doing all this by using a scraper. The product worked fantastic. This removes the paint with out damaging the wood. I would recommend wearing some safety gear like eye protection, long sleeve shirt and something to cover your neck and face as some of the bristles come off when using a high speed tool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Effective but defective? Very effective at removing rusted layer from metal. In fact, too effective. For the job I'm working on, I need to find something less drastic. The problem with this brush is that it comes with the shaft separated from the brush. When I assembled the tool, I had a really, really hard time centering the shaft in the brush. The two pieces don't fit precisely enough. When I tried to use the brush the first time, it was so off-axis and unbalanced that it made the drill vibrate badly, and the brush was jumping on and off the piece I was working on instead of making a stable contact with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from paint stripper It's okay. Must be careful not to use to much pressure, or it will leave gouges in the wood.
