Hi Bill,
Thanks for your question. This is a tricky question to answer without seeing the space being mentioned. However, I can provide some suggestions for various scenarios.
1) If the acoustic ceilings have been scrapped and then painted over, then our Behr 75 primer would be a great for priming and sealing the surface.
2) if the acoustic ceilings remain intact, but the surface been painted over.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your question.
Behr 75 will still work fine as long as the surface is smooth (no large residual areas of "popcorn" granules). From there, we do offer a series of ceiling paints (558 Premium Plus Ceiling Paint, or 5558 Premium Plus Ultra Ceiling Paint).

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Used to Prime Cabinet Paint Job Purchased a quart of the All in One Primer sealer to refinish my oak kitchen cabinet boxes. Sanded, cleaned and wiped the surface first and applied the primer. While it says it is self leveling, it did leave slight paint strokes or roller stipple although I planned to sand the primer coat so this didn't bother me much. Sanding the primer went fairly well with a random orbital sander. I started sanding after 2.5 hours drying time and used 220 and 150 grit. I found using the 150 grit made the job easier/quicker but had to be careful about burning off the primer along edges of the cabinets. Primer did not always sand to a fine dust. I was still able to get to a smooth finish. Adhesion met expectations. On the side of the cabinets where I was most concerned with adhesion, I could not scrape off the primer with my finger nail. I was able to peal the primer off in some other areas but it was clear the primer was not fully dry. I had bleed through in 2 spots. Either I missed a spot from a cleaning perspective or it was wood tannin. Knowing I didn't give the full dry period to seal in the stain, I didn't consider this a product failure. Overall, I wasn't second guessing my choice in using the primer and would use again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] April 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall not bad. I wasn't too happy with the colour choice for the one wall. "Wine barrel" which did cover in one coat more or less, and it was super thick! I leaned something on that wall a few days later, and it left a dent because of how thick the coating is. Otherwise, if it was a hard to cover colour, I might have to give it another shot. I do like the regular behr paint better though. One lacking in primer in the mix. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Began using this product on rental properties several years ago. Coverage great, finish great, durability great. It is a little on the expensive side however if I had to purchase primer and paint it would cost at least this much. And, I would have more labor involved if I had to paint a separate primer and paint coat. As I said I began using this product about five years ago and all surfaces have held up beautifully, no peeling. February 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the best! I purchased this primer to cover the oil paint previously used in our bathroom. After thoroughly cleaning and sanding the oil paint, I used 2 coats of this primer and then 2 coats of Behr Premium Plus Ultra Satin paint. The result is beautiful and no more dealing with the oil-based paint! Love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really works I used this to cover a dark green wall with stains on it and it really really worked! It went on easy and clean up was a breeze. would completely recommend it. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome coverage! This paints coverage is as advertised as one coat. We recently painted all the trim on our house exterior in one coat! Nice to not have to go around again but get it done in one trip around the house. Thank you Behr! October 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing paint! We used this paint when we added on a couple rooms to our home. It saved time using this product and goes on smooth. We only painted the walls once due to it being primer and paint. September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Baby Delight We just moved into a house finally after living in a basement apartment for so long. We are expecting and needed to paint a nursery quick fast as our baby girl is almost due. We decided to go with a paint that is also primer. We used Candy Drop for the border and furniture, and Japanese fern for the walls. It took us an hour to wait for drying and only one coat of paint. Left us with more then enough paint from the Candy Drop so we did her crib candy drop as well:) Was so amazing after such a hard and stressful pregnancy to see the nursery done so fast. Now we can enjoy our baby girl in her new room. Thank You for making such amazing quality paint. October 3, 2014
