Product Overview

Spiders are not insects, they are arachnids. Black Flag Spider and Scorpion Killer has been formulated to control spiders with fast-acting combination of ingredient that knocks down and kills spider quickly. The formulation is water-based and non-staining, making it an effective solution for both indoor and outdoor use. Spiders typically need to be sprayed directly to be killed. Spiders are likely to be found near their primary food source, insects and other small arthropods, so control of insects in and around the home is an effective means of reducing spider populations.

Answer:
I likely have the same spiders hanging out under the top of my screened in pool enclosure. It kills them quick and with just a light application. But be careful when you are spraying upwards as the wind can blow an overspray back on you. If you need to spray from a few feet away, a trigger sprayer might be better than aerosol.

Answer:
Because of the chemicals, I only used the spray outside around the parameters of my house and garage, around the windows, and roof tiles. I have not seen a spider since, neither outside nor inside. So, in my case they didn't suddenly come into the house. It actually chased them out of the house, too.

Answer:
Hi Debi. This spray is designed for home spider control -- you'll want to pick a product safe for use on edibles to use on plants. Try our Garden Safe Brand Multi-Purpose Garden Insect Killer instead (also available at Home Depot): http://www.homedepot.com/p/Garden-Safe-24-oz-Ready-to-Use-Multipurpose-Garden-Insect-Killer-HG-93078-2/204293803

Answer:
I don't have my can anymore to read the details; however, I would not use it on any food items. As far as plants I would not want to put it directly on plants either as it may kill them.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bye Bye Spiders This spray can works well, as expected. A very light spray application and the spiders are dead. The only reason I did not give it a five is that the sprayed product is such a fine mist in particle size (not in volume) that the slightest breeze blows it around...and often on to you. When spraying around a pool, the spray can be blown around and you will see oil film on the pool. Not good, but it does kill the spiders. I do not have scorpions, so I can't comment on that. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Killer Every spring and every fall, and sometimes in between we get spiders, small ones middle size ones and of course large ones or as my daughter says monsters. Well meet the "Killer". Black Flag Spider and Scorpion Killer Aerosol Spray is the answer. This spray stops them in their tracks, or if they manage to get under something , they still die. Greatest spider killer I've ever used. Be sure to read the directions on the back of the can. You don't have to be close to the spider, this can sprays up to 5 feet. December 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally!! As an employee who works in the garden department, I am glad they got a spider killer that I actually recommend using. January 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Moving into a new house there were a handful of huge spiders. I needed something to kill them and fast. Other poisons I have used never work without having to drown them in it. This really does kill on contact so a few sprays does the trick. When tackling brown recluses in the back of the house, it worked just as fast. I'll never use another product again. December 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exterminates As Advertized! In the past, Black Flag Insect spray worked okay for my spider workshop infestation. However, it wasn't specialized and I needed to retreat every month or so. Now with this specialized spider spray, as stated, this treatment kills on contact. Time will tell if it last the rated 4 months before a re-treatment is needed. If it does, it'll be an improvement over what I've used in the past! October 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to apply I have lots of Black Widows outside. This can says to spray into crevices or directly on spiders.. Since I used this in the daytime and Widows usually come out at night, I sprayed it into all the cracks and crevices where I've seen them. Hopefully, I will STOP seeing them at night. I only have them outside, so that is good. The spray comes out in a foam that you can easily spray into holes, etc. It says it kills on contact also. I have used Black Flag products before and never been disappointed. There was no odor and it is safe to spray on things. May 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Knocks them dead in about 3 seconds I am impressed. With one small spray of the killer and they are dead before they can get away. Black widows are pretty fast, but the wind scorpions (AKA vinegaroos) are really fast, but they slow down the second they are sprayed, and dead 2 seconds later. It kills a lot of different spiders, but the black widows are the worst. I highly recommend this. Good stuff. July 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KILLS ON CONTACT I have a problem with spiders in my basement, and so far I've used the product twice and it killed the spiders almost instantly. Also, it's a "stream," which is great because you don't have to get close to kill it... thank gahd!! July 2, 2015
