BONA- MY FRIEND-A
Our older oak hardwoods used to drive me crazy, crazy, crazy, that is until I tried BONA.
Why I’d never tried BONA is a mystery to me, but when a visiting friend raved about BONA, I found it at Home Depot right where I should have seen it. I bought it and have used it for over a year now; it works great, especially in the sequence I have developed for dealing with our major floor challenge- our dog!
Our 100 pound Golden Labrador, Harry, though kept clean, is the primary reason our hardwoods get dirtier than normal. Dirt from his feet, slobber from his drooling and whatever else falls off Harry’s coat tends to get ground into the hardwood surface. In light of these challenges cleaning our 18-year-old hardwoods was a chore before BONA.
My recipe for cleaning the hardwoods begins with a thorough vacuuming of the hardwoods. Step two is using a mild liquid wood detergent, diluted and worked with a floor mop over the severest dirt and, pardon the expression, slobber. Everyone’s floor is different, and if you don’t have a big dog in your home, you might easily skip this step. After the wood is dry, I crank up my mopping with BONA. Using a large soft dry mop, I spray BONA from the bottle directly onto the floor and then mop away! This picks up dirt which the mild detergent application didn’t get, and thanks to BONA, the floor gets super clean! Drying takes no time at all, and the result is a floor that has a satin finish that’s also not slippery.
It’s a once a week process around here, and I always do it in conjunction with my husband who does the vacuuming. Share the chores, share the wine, I always say! Harry enjoys the clean floor, too.

When we had our Bellawood installed I tried several cleaners that were recommended, one being Bruce. All of them left a haze and streaks on the floor. My Home Depot recommended Bona and I decided to give it a try. WOW what a difference, never hazy or left a streak. Highly recommend their product.

The problem with this product is that Home Depot carries the mop applicator but does not carry any additional replacement Microfiber cleaning pads, Microfiber Dusting Pads or the wax applicator pads. I searched three stores. I eventually had to go your big box competitor and magically they seemed to be well stocked in the Bona product line. So I bought all the additional supplies I needed there. Since I have a lot of wood floors, I needed extra ones just to go through the house once. Get it!
Otherwise, the Bona product line is very good. Follow the instructions and the result is perfect. Your sales associates directed me to this product.

I spent time researching products that perform well and are safe to use in a home with pets. Considering that pets spend a majority of their time in contact with floor surfaces it was important to me that the products I use to clean would not expose them to harmful chemicals. I chose Bona floor cleaners and have recommended them to friends and family who are concerned about the chemicals used in our home environment.

I've used Bona on my hardwood floors for years and am extremely pleased with the results. It doesn't strip the varnish and makes the floors look terrific.

I don't think it is any better than a lot of hardwood floor cleaners that cost a lot less. It said non streaking I question that. Overall I will not buy again
