No! This is the wrong "stick pad" for a "palm sander". this is actually called a "hook and loop" TypePad where the pad has velcro type hooks and the sand paper has the velcro type loops. And it is also for a different type of tool. first you need to determine whether your "palm sander" uses clamp on paper, hook and loop paper or stick on paper. The clamp on paper will be slightly larger then the stick on or hook and loop paper. I would think you could buy whatever type of pad you want and then by the corresponding paper to match. I also own a Souix random orbit sander that uses 6" self adhesive stick on discs. I have had that sander for many years and still have the original pad. the key is to change the paper whenever it tears and exposes any portion of the disc. Remember, it is cheaper to buy new sandpaper then to buy a new pad regardless of the type you choose. Make sure the words "palm sander"And "Roybi" are part of your key words when searching the website. If you have the option I would suggest a pad that uses self adhesive or clamp on paper because of their durability. IMHO Read Less

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by got the job done but... I bought four replacement sanding pads after the first one that came with the tool overheated. The first; "replacement" pad was destroyed within a few minutes. I was able to complete my project by rotating through the remaining three pads at about 1 minute intervals. changing the pads before heat had time to build up to the point of destroying it. excess heat cause by friction causes the hooks to melt and are therefore unable to secure the sandpaper. I might make note however that by the time I got the replacement pads the ambient air emperatures had increased dramatically and may have had some effect on the pads heating so rapidly. I plan to test one of these pads this winter when it is cold just to see how well it holds up. August 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Must Have! I found out the hard way when I used my sanding pad for the first time I was using too much pressure on it and it melted so I only used it once, Since I bought a couple of these and now learned not to put any pressure on them just let the sander do the work I have many hours on one pad so far and still working great so I have now 1 for a spare. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Only good for a little bit at a time The BOSCH sandpaper backing will stick to and melt to this BOSCH pad. You can peel off the sandpaper backing from the pad when it separates, but a little is left on the pad each time, and the eventual buildup will render the pad useless and unable to hold a new sandpaper sheet after about 20 sheets. You will need to buy a new pad with every box of sandpaper. July 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by We wanted this to be a great product. we had to buy this new head after using the one that came with the tool after just a day or 2 of using it. The suface of the 1st one melted down as we sanded and then the velcro pads wouldn't stay on. There were no directions, tips, warnings telling us this would happen and how to avoid it if possible. All of the brands seem to have the same design, so we feel stuck with this, unless we just want to go back sanding by hand. November 1, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not hold up. I agree with the first review in that the product does not hold up well. Since the ones I have are no longer able to hold the sandpaper, I went in search of new ones. Went to 2 Home Depots in my area and neither one had the part. The tool is useless without the pad.
