I'm assuming the 24" depth shown is at the deepest point of the unit. What is the depth of the TOP of the 30" unit hood (30 x ???) (or I could also ask ... what's the 3rd dimension on the 30x12x ?? soffit flue)?
Asked by: LindaM
I know which dimension you are asking about . . . it's the top portion under the cabinet or soffit. The depth on this portion of the hood is 12" deep. Some times a picture is so helpful. Go to, put the model number (E6030SS) in the search field, and you can access the specification sheet. Thank you.

Customer Reviews

Elite E60000 30 in. Range Hood in Stainless Steel is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from powerful and good looking range hood Looks great, and has excellent exhaust pull. Variable fan and two light settings are adequate for this appliance. It is convertible for a remote fan. Downsides are that it really is best to have a 10" venting pipe system. Due to an old house limitation, we have a 6" pipe system and I believe this makes the internal fan very very loud. It's a jet engine noise when on medium or high fan speed. The one negative in the design in my opinion is that the exhaust, and thus grease, gets pulled through the light socket cavities when you are cooking on the front range burners. This I believe to be a design flaw, as it should be a sealed system forcing all air through the baffle filters. So generally pleased, and do recommend, but not perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What's Under The Hood? We looked for a long time for a hood that would meet our specific needs for our remodeled kitchen in our Arizona home. After reviewing a number of models we selected this one. It will be easy to clean and maintain for years with its stainless finish. Only ne challenge presented itself during the installation, the two light bulbs were not easy to install. It was difficulty lining up the pins for installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and professional style I shopped around for a long time for a range hood. I needed to buy from Home Depot so I could put it on my Home Depot credit card. I spent all my cash on the Capital Culinarian Gas Range(worth every penny!) This hood is perfect over my Capital Range. Funtions perfectly and the style is handsome and professional. Lights up my range top wonderfully (high and low)and the infinate fan control is awsome from just a little suction on low to it will suck open a cracked door on high. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light and smoke removal! Fantastic - heat, smoke, and cooking odors are quickly removed. Great light for viewing food as it cooks. Looks well with my new Wolf gas range.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointed! Looked good in the store and had good reviews on-line, but our experience has been less than stellar. Installation was average. Design is good except for the lights. The fixtures are cheap and broke just from touching and do not allow easy install of the bulb. I cannot get the bulb installed in either socket. Why halogen? They are costly and don't last more than 1 1/2 years. LED should be the standard. The stainless steel is great and the draft is good, but the lights are very very poor. For the price it should be much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this range hood We did a complete kitchen remodel in September 2011. When shopping for a range hood, we wanted something very simple. In terms of style, our kitchen is probably what you would call traditional. I wanted clean lines. The power of the fan is so much better than our old one and even when cranked on "high" its not as loud as I would have expected. Also love the light it gives while cooking. Nice and bright! I can't comment on the installation because it was done by our contractor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Range hood Love the hood! It works quite well for us and even has a function that will turn it on if it senses too much smoke.
