Is a rolled hem automatically programmed into the machine? And does it have the needle threaded?

Asked by: dottie
The machine is capable of rolled hems but it needs to be set up by the sewer following the manual instructions as to needle and threads used. The internet has many helpful tutorials on how to use various needle, stitch, and thread combos. It arrives with loopers and needles already threaded and four different colored spools of thread attached. Takes time to learn the proper threading sequences and routes. Practice makes perfect!

cleaning the machine ??

would it be a true statement to say , that blowing out the dust and debri left behind would be easier ?? Like say a can of compressed air or an airhose attatched to a compressor would work best , where people are saying they can not get to , to clean ??
Asked by: twistedsheets
Sergers do make a lot of trim scraps, lint, ect with each use. I find that a quick vacume with an attachment wand is helpful, also canned air if needed. Routine clean up after each serging session is just a good idea to prevent serging problems with stitching. The free arm can be removed and machine tilted back to access more easily.

Serger Sewing Machine with Easy Lay In Threading is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 271.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pressure Foot Shaft Assembly I love everything about my 1034D, but had an issue finding the Pressure Foot Shaft Assembly part applicable to my serial no. I finally figured out the issue. At one point the body on the 1034D was shortened, so the part I ordered was shorter in length and would not fit my machine. It turns out, I needed the longer shaft and was able to find one myself at a sewing machine repair center in West Palm Beach, FL (Not Brother). It is now in service with a local business man in my area. Can't wait to finally use it. I wish the plastic tip at the end of the shaft assembly was not plastic and was metal and welded to the shaft, would save alot of headaches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good quality and warranty I never used a surger before. Out of the box, raised the thread tower, made sure the thread was not bound up, plugged it in and had a beautiful stich. I rethreaded the machine with white just to get it out of the way and after watching the YouTube video for the lower looper it was super easy. Light and easy to use. Lots of features and YouTube videos showing how to use it. I watched the videos before the purchase to make sure it was the machine for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Longer Afraid of Surgers! WOW! This surger has changed my sewing life. With this surger, I no longer have to go through several steps to finish edges and make ruffles. I was afraid of the threading process as I have heard "horror stories" about threading surgers. What I found with this machine, is that it couldn't have been easier! With its color coded threading routes, threading this machine is very easy to learn. It is a real work-horse and because I am so happy with it I now own two!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An honest to goodness threadable serger I had to send this note to let you know how pleased I am with my 1034D. I have threaded at least 4 other name brand sergers and this is by far the easiest and most economical. I love the stitches and the instruction amanual doesn't require a PHD to understand the instructions. Thank you. I added this to my Brother sewing machine and my Brother Embroidery machine. All fine products with great customer service.

I didn't care for the instructional cd that it came with but there are excellent videos online to show proper threading of the machine and good tips for use. We have already put this machine to the test and it has performed very well with very nice results.
