This is the most useless piece of garbage. So bad, in fact, that HD's competitor doesn't even sell them anymore. Bought it once, it took FOREVER to fill. Easily 7 minutes of the most annoying, whining rattle. Shoot a nail or two and it rebounds for another 7 minute whine. I couldn't take it. Returned it. I saw it later on sale and for $75, thought, maybe I just got a bad one and purchased it. Outright, that foolish coil hose leaked. It's a screw in hose not an interchangeable fitting. Replaced it with one and threw away the coil hose. This one, originally, took about 4 minutes to fill with the same horrible screeching...now, it barely ever stops running. If you have the slightest leak anywhere...it will not stop running. If it runs at all...sometimes, I have to tap the motor housing to get it to kick on. It can't even keep up with inflating a light truck tire. The brad nailer that came with it is temperamental at best. It can't shoot two brads consecutively. You have to shoot, rotate it about with a shaking action to get it to fire again. Even the pressure release valve is of poor design. I'll have it fully loaded with air, behind my seat, packed with other tools in my extended cab, take a turn and something will bump it and all of a sudden air is ripping out on its own. The first time it happened, it startled the bejesus out of me nearly causing an accident. Even the little bottle of pneumatic oil they give you is useless. Once you open it and set it down...it's convexed bottom allows it to easily knock over and the next time you go to use it...it has all leaked out. It doesn't even have a cap, you cut the top like a tube of caulk. The only good thing is it's convenient size. It's super small and lightweight as this was the reason I wanted it. Not worth it, not in the slightest. Spend a few more dollars and get something better. Trust me, I will never purchase another Campbell Hausfeld anything again. The mere sight of them irritate me.

I've read a few reviews on this combo kit. Some people seem to be out of touch with reality, giving only bad reviews or few stars. In my experience...a professional carpenter with over 20 years under my belt, I must say this is a good small, CHEAP combo kit. If you want bigger, more power...pay more and get it. And as far as being loud...obviously some people have never been in an automotive or woodworking shop. This is excellent for crafts or bike tires, and the brad nailer/ stapler is a good bonus.

I don't use it to fill tires, but I do use it for trim. I like the fact that the gun is light and I use it for door, window, and base molding. Its good for me because I do trim work occasionally, and for the price, you can't beat it. I paid $76.00 and it comes with a lot of cool accessories. The only negative thing is the hose is to short, so I just bought a 25 footer and its good to go.

I bought this to use on a base board project. The nailer worked great. As far as the reviews about noise, ITS A COMPRESSOR!! Power tools make noise. If you want silence, buy a hand tire pump. I bought it for the nailer and general home maintenanace. It does good with filling my tires, air gun to blow the garage out, and the nailer was amazing! Not to mention its light weight and space saving.

The little brad nailer worked great and the air compressor would be perfect if that's all you used it for. Worked good for wheel barrow or bike tires. It took 20 minutes to fill my truck tire. Loud as heck in the garage. The cheap plastic hose cracked and needed to be replace. Finally, I left it in a moisture rich shed for a couple of weeks and the pump ceased.

It works good and it is light weight, but I had problem using air wreaches and even filling up a tire it took way to long. If you are looking to use this for your hobbie type of work it is good, but if you are a semi-pro or above spend the extra chas and get a more prowerfull one.
