Ceiling Tile Adhesive from Ceilume is formulated specifically for glue up ceiling tiles and glue on ceiling panels. Ideal as backsplash adhesive, acoustical ceiling tile adhesive and tin ceiling tile glue, this specialty ceiling adhesive works with vinyl ceiling tiles, tin ceiling tiles, mineral fiber ceiling tiles, acoustic ceiling tiles, wood fiber ceiling tiles and polystyrene ceiling tiles. Use it to glue your ceiling tiles and backsplashes tiles to sheetrock, wallboard, plywood, plaster, cement and to mineral fiber acoustic tiles. Your best choice as backsplash installation or glue up ceiling tile installation, Ceilume Ceiling Tile adhesive gives you better adhesion, better coverage and more confidence that you are using the right product for the job. If the product freezes and then thaws will it have an effect on its strength?

I left my ceiling tile adhesive outside during the winter (I live in Illinois). Should I throw it away or is it still usable?

Ceilume Ceiling Tile Adhesive is freeze/thaw stable but multiple freeze/thaw cycles while in the tube may cause the components to separate. Please test the adhesive prior to use on your project, just to make sure.

Ceilume has done extensive testing with Ceilume Ceiling tiles and Adhesive but hasn't done any testing involving steel tiles and a ceramic substrate. Adhesion will depend on many factors: the weight of the tiles, the cleanliness of both surfaces, and the soundness of the substrate. To be safe, you should ask the pros at Home Depot to recommend an Adhesive suitable for steel and ceramic.

Ceilume Ceiling Tile Adhesive will hold up tin ceiling tiles provided the substrate is dry, sound, and free of dust, oils, or debris.
