by|Aug 30, 2014

Answer This Question

A:  Yes, I just purchased a generic grill cover. They come in different sizes so just make sure you buy one that is large enough to cover the grill.

by|May 3, 2023

A:  Yes, there are grill covers available. I purchased the Gator - grill cover on line from HD.

by|May 3, 2023

A:  POSITIVELY. ALL GRILL COVERS ARE AVAILABLE AT AN ETRA CHARGE.

by|May 3, 2023

A:  YES when I bought mine there was an actual grill cover available for it on the shelf.

    by|May 3, 2023

A:  ask in the store. they should be able to help you find one that's perfect.

    by|May 3, 2023

A:  For this 4-Burner Grill we recommend the 65" Rip-Stop Grill Cover. This cover would do well to protect your grill from the elements.

      Q:consumption of gas
      by|Jul 24, 2014

      Answer This Question

A:  Minutes? We grill heavy here. Three to four times a week. Average time per use 45 minutes. I would say the gas lasts about 4 months. Using on the average two of the burners per grill session.

      by|May 3, 2023

A:  This 4-Burner Grill can only be used with a standard 20 lb propane tank. The main burners use a total of 48,000 BTUs and the side burner uses 12,000 BTUs. A standard propane tank should last for a long time with this grill.

Q:Is it recommended to 'season' the grill before the 1st use with food? If YES, how did you do it?
        by|Jul 14, 2014

        Answer This Question

A:  Manual states to burn it on high for 15-20 minutes before first use. I'd definitely recommend at least doing that.

        by|May 3, 2023

A:  Let it get hot and just put some oil on the grate.... which you should do before you cook every time(after you clean the grate); it will keep meat from sticking.

        by|May 3, 2023

A:  Yes. Seasoning the grates with canola oil will help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. To season the grates, apply canola oil to the grates and then turn the grill to the highest setting for about 15 to 20 minutes.

          Totally Awesome Grill
LOVE this grill - did a lot of research prior to our purchase and then looked at a few in-store. Overall, compared to the other items we looked at, this CharBroil grill was sturdy and durable. Emmett @ the Home Depot, Overland, was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions - we had a GREAT experience with customer service. I will say that assembly was rather difficult, it took several hours as none of the parts were labelled at all! The assembly guide showed pictures of each item, but determining which was which was slightly frustrating, as there were so many parts that the guide goes through the alphabet twice (AA, BB, CC etc bc they ran out of letters!) However, all of the parts were in-tact and functional. After we got it assembled, operation is a breeze and we have used it numerous times with great success - cooks evenly and thoroughly. Others reviews noted that it did not get hot enough, but we haven't had that problem at all, and it's been in use for 6 months now. Overall, I would absolutely buy this grill again and am totally satisfied with the product - only gave it four stars, though, because of assembly.

Best bang for your buck, imo.
If you're going to pay full price for a grill, this is the best one for your dollar. Get a grill cover and it will last you many seasons. I will buy this again if it is still on sale when mine breaks.

          Char Broil reliabiliy
Grill was easy to assemble, lights easily and cooks food evenly without burning even on high flame. Best to leave grill in one place and cover. It does not move well, the front panel comes off easily.

          Grillin' and chillin'
I'm a 50+ female and I assembled it myself easily. It works great, the only thing I would add is there are no hooks for hanging utensils - a minor quibble.

          Would Recommend this Grille
Just bought this for my son and daughter-in-law. Son reports he had no problem assembling and bringing the temperature up to the maximum 700 degrees in about 10 minutes from a cold start on a 70 degree day. A snap to build, all the screws are pre-installed, just slide panels in place and tighten them up. Fully assembled top 4-burner unit drops into the top. CharBroil nailed it with ease of installation. Looks great, cooks great. Excellent value for the money.

          Great Value
Bought this grill to replace a Kenmore that was becoming a money pit. After getting my shipment for the Char-Broil 3 burner lost by UPS, Home Depot customer service refunded my money, gave me an extra $20 and 10% of my replacement order. Upgraded to this model and picked up same day in store. Simple to put together if you can read directions. Use an impact driver instead of a screwdriver it will make things easier. Took around an hour to complete by myself could have done it quicker but made sure things were done perfectly. Broke the grill in with 4 steaks, 2 pans of potatoes and a full pan of veggies and all fit with room to spare. Side burner came in handy to cook some onions. Wish it was a little more sturdier, but I can deal with that since it isn't moved often. Live near the ocean and salt water air does a number on grill so looking to get a few years out of this model. For the $$ this grill is well worth it.

          Great so far!
Looks great, functions well. Side burner is great too. I like the porcelain grate, the electric lighter works great, and knobs feel durable and have a nice weight to them. All the features you need, none that you don't.

          Ok grill for the money!
I purchased this grill at Home Depot last year, (2012) and have used it quite a bit. It does what it's supposed to do, grill food. The only real gripe I have is unless at least 3 of the 4 burners are lit, it's difficult to get it hot enough to do a good job of grilling. When I have only of couple of burgers, or sausages, or a single steak to cook, it can be very slow to get things done. I end up lighting all the burners most of the time, which uses a lot of propane.
