I have prepared turkey, chicken, pork, bratwursts, dogs, steaks and hamburgers. Once I figured out the temp., and use a thermometer I have really been able to put out some excellent meals.

This has been the best smoker I have ever owned. The turkey, Chicken, fish, ham and ribs are to die for. The only draw back is my meat bill has now doubled because everyone wants some! I couldn't afford to feed my son-in-law any longer, so I solved the problem by purchasing him a Big Easy too!! Trust me, that was the cheapest way out, LOL!!

Bought it in June and wonder how I did without it so long. I've owned several charbroil grills over the years but never cooked anything but burgers and the occasional steak or two. But with the srg, I've done kabobs (using the optional kabob holder...s-o-o-o easy), more steaks, roasted a whole chicken and even grilled some tilapia! Gonna grill a sirloin tip roast Sunday. looking forward to doing ribs in the near future and turkey breasts for Thanksgiving! The srg is nearly perfect except for some manufacturing flaws. I really enjoy using it and my wife enjoys me using it too...it relieves her of heating up the oven a lot!

Easy to assemble and truly is a smoker and grill and Rotisserie, all food made on it was far beyond what I expected. Smoked steak and Potato , Pulled pork ,Chicken You name and the Big Easy makes it EASY and clean up is even EASIER Thank you for a quality product

I received it on time from Home Depot. Very good service! I have made fajitas,steak,shrimp,two chickens,pork/beef ribs and rib eyes. They all came out excellent1 I followed the enclosed cooking guide in detail. I cured it with bacon grease. This SRG is incredible! I recommend it highly to anyone. It is very user friendly and cooks fast when grilling or roasting. I like having the smokey flavor when you want it. I will be buying the accessories real soon. If you follow the guidelines implicitly, you will be impressed with the results! Thanks Home Depot and Char-Broil!!

No effort, cooked steak evenly all the way though. Have to say the best steak I've ever grilled. I'm 58 and have cooked lots.of steaks over the years. First time I've grilled hamburgers and had absolutely no flame-up.

I love the roasting feature. Meats are juicy and full of flavor. Clean up is easy. However, there's not direct heat to the grill so you won't get good grill marks and you don't get the grilled flavor on the meat when using this solid grill top and indirect heat that you do on a grill that exposes the meat to flames. Lastly and most sadly, on the propane model I have, you cannot get the temperature lower than 325 (I use the Maverick dual probe Model ET-733 digital thermometer) so slow smoking is out of the question. That said, you CAN taste the smoke on meat that's cooked faster at these higher temperatures. Just don't follow a recipe that has the meat smoking at 225 and DEFINATELY use a good digital thermometer preferably a dual probe--one for the cooker and one for your meat! Also, I put four little 8-oz cans in the bottom of mine below the basket and keep them filled with water. I really believe that moisture helps the meat stay moist and the smoke to stick to the meat better.
