Now 2.5 years into owning and religiously cleaning/oiling/covering this grill there is rust all over. Burner covers crumbled apart after cleaning. Cleaned the exterior and legs, nearing brushed off all the metal holding it together. This grill is literally on its last leg.
$400 for 2.5 years plus the time I spent maintaing it, is not my idea of money well spent. I've contacted Char-Griller customer service, so we'll see what happens next.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PJS Char Griller Combo Grill
Bought this combo gas/charcoal grill 3 years ago, along with the large cover!
At this point, the gas section has rusted out completely. The burner covers had to be replaced w stainless steel ones from an online seller due to rusting away. The support arms for same covers have disintegrated. The entire inside bottom of the grill is gone. I am using heavy duty aluminum foil to coax a few more cooking session out of this piece of junk.
BTW, for the first 2 years, it functioned well even with the obvious rust beginning. It was well cared for and oiled appropriately but nothing stopped the ever encroaching rust.
The charcoal side is still okay but doesn't have much time left either. The grates (supposedly porcelain over iron) are disappearing too - there's no porcelain left on them. Even the grease catchers are rusting out.
This item was over-priced and complete lack of quality. DO NOT BUY!

hard to clean, cover didn't last and crumbled after one year. Some bolts rusted through, support for the flame shields rusted through and cannot be replaced. Not a quality built product for the price paid. I'll just keep using the charcoal side + smoke box once in a while, but need to get a new gas grill now.

I was pleased with the cooking performance. But as some others mentioned, the flame reflectors rusted out in the first year and had to replace the burners soon after. It mAy last you a couple of years if your're lucky.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Griller Duo 5050 Rust within 2 Years
Rusts within 2 years and CharGriller does not back up their product after 1 year. I've had other products last 5+ years without signs of rust for much less. Would consider a different brand or product. I really wanted this grill to work and it did for a very short period of time. Quality and support after a year is poor.

I received this grill as a gift from my Dad with the cover. Always covered unless in use. I've had it almost 4 years and am ready for a new grill already due to rust inside and out and the paint peeled on the gas side. My last $100 gas grill from Walmart looked and worked fine when I gave it away after 10 years of use. Good concept but lack of quality materials used on this brand and model.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dtkb87 The product looks and is great. Love that I can use both gas and charcoal.
Gas and charcoal grill, a little on the heavy side so the wheels definitely help. Set up was kind of a pain, parts were not marked well. Took me 2 1/2 hrs.
