Unleash your inner craftsman and build beautiful hardwood-faced creations with this PureBond Red Oak Plywood Project Panel from Columbia Forest Products. Harvested in a sustainable manner from a domestic forest, the red oak timber used for the decorative veneer is rotary-cut to exacting standards for an exquisite hardwood appearance that works splendidly on any furniture or cabinetry piece. This 1/4 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. panel is comprised of 100% natural wood and assembled with a soy-based, formaldehyde-free PureBond technology that won’t subject interior environs to any toxic off-gassing, as UF-constructed panels are susceptible to do. The yellow poplar core substrate is layered in alternating cross bands with the red oak veneers, augmenting the rigidity, strength and flatness you expect from hardwood for lasting durability and enduring beauty. This 3-ply decorative plywood is a cost-competitive alternative to formaldehyde-laden panels and won't degrade the air quality of your home or business over time.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Red oak plywood project board 1/4" the wood was well packaged - well cut and straight - just right for my needs - would order again if need arises - 5 stars - when stained it matched my kitchen cabinets perfectly June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unusual Use My water cooler once had 1/4 inch plywood around it in the screen slots (where the screen frame goes). Over the years it had disintegrated leaving gaps and holes for bugs to get in. My roommate even put a piece of sheet foam in to close some of the gap. I took a piece of cardboard 2x4 feet, the size of the plywood, to make sure that 2x4 was enough to do the job, and cut it to fit the hole around the cooler. When I got the plywood, I used the cardboard for a template to cut the plywood. I still have some caulking to do on the seams, but it's better than what was there before. October 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Solution Wood had a nice grain to it so it works well for the project I planned. Easy to cut -- great solution and quick delivery - also returned one pc as I did not need it and the store took it back with no problem. August 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sanded on both sides and ready to finish I used this red oak veneer plywood as the back for a bookshelf that is placed against a wall. The quality of this veneer plywood is high enough for cabinet and other finish work. The veneer surfaces are fine-sanded so that one need not sand the surfaces in advance of staining and applying the first coat of finish. Both sides have oak veneer of high quality. The 2-ft. x 4-ft. size makes it handy to transport the sheet in a relatively small vehicle. April 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job repairing a kitchen cabinet. I bought this panel to repair a kitchen cabinet that had some water damage. It did the trick. However, I discovered that the panel it self was a bit out of square, thus I gave it a "good" instead of "excellent" quality. In the end I was able finish my project successfully with it.
