Answer:
Yes, it will take an LED bulb, you may need a small screwdriver to push the bulb holding clips out of the way to get the new bulb in, the cooling fins make installing a little difficult but nothing the screwdriver can't fix

Answer:
To change a bulb, you pull the trim ring down from the fixture, it has three spring tabs inside holding the trim ring in place, the bulb has two retainer clips holding it in place and the bulb is connected to the power by a twist lock socket

Hey Michelle,
The first thing you'd need to do is to uncaulk the fixture from the ceiling with a knife.
Once you do this, the trim comes down via springs that attach it into the ceiling. The socket of the bulb is now exposed that is still attached to wires.
The bulb and trim are still together, but now you can twist turn the bulb from the socket allowing you to remove it and replace it.

Be sure that the new bulb works and then push the new bulb/trim back into the ceiling. I would not recommend re-caulking as it isn't needed.

3 in. White Recessed Lighting Retrofit Kit is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Lighting That Doesn't Work Look good, but poor quality. Bought 2 initially, one worked fine, but the other kept going on and off due to the thermal switch. Recently bought 1 to replace defective light and the new one was DOA. Finally put in new construction 6-in cans and recessed LED fixtures. No more problems. Pay a little more and do it right, don't buy these.

One thing to note....the junction box is packed inside the can so don't have a fit when you don't see it mounted on the can right out of the box, like I did. Cant wait to install with led bulbs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean fixture, works and looks great. This is a diminutive outdoor can that supports a K26 bulb (including LCD). The smaller units make interesting lighting on the porch where I have 6 fixtures spread out along 40 feet. The units are well designed and seem to hold up pretty well (at least 8 years in an earlier location -- and going strong). I have noticed that the gimbaled rings developed some surface rust after a few years (originally the porches had open ceilings) But a quick sand and coat of high temperature spray paint refreshed them perfectly. The ceilings are now sealed and I'm hoping the fixtures will operate perfectly for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throw out the bulb and put in an LED As others have noted, the electrical box is inside the unit. Unfortunately the packaging does not make that clear and even the associate at the store did not know this. I ended up buying boxes and then returning them. I took out the halogen bulb and replaced it with GU10 LED also from Home Depot. Buying the two separately was less expensive than buying a nearly identical fixture that comes with an LED bulb included. I purchased two and installed them into a 20-foot ceiling pulling them through from the attic. Getting them to snap into place was a little tricky, but I am very pleased with how they look. With the LED bulb I don't have to worry about changing it for many years, plus I don't have to deal with the heat from the halogen bulb.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light design needs work Installation is tough with the poor clip design. That said it is still do-able. I put two of these in a bedroom and one works well but the other light fixture will not stay in the can. Sometimes I can get it to stay, but it eventually pops back out and hangs by the wires. I am going to have to rig it since I've been battling this issue for nearly a year now. I guess you get what you pay for in this case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lights won't stay in fixture The installation was difficult as the clips that hold the light in place were difficult to place correctly. Also the bulb holder on Half of my eight lights would not stay in the fixture. I ended up jury rigging them.
