6 in. Recessed White LED Retrofit Trim-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color and Output of Light Excellent product. Easy to install, just like screwing in a regular bulb. I was hesitant to use LED lighting due to the blue-ish color they usually give off, but this light looks fantastic. You cannot really tell it is a LED, the frosted lens evenly distributes light. Plus you do not have to purchase a baffle, its all in one. Purchased 4 for a bedroom, and am back to buy 6 more! They work great with dimmers as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warranty issue I bought 10 of these lights in Feb.2012, everything was ok but since 3-4 days one light is flickering and some time turns off & on itself. I checked thoroughly and reached the conclusion that my this light has been broken. Home depot gives only 3 months warranty and there is no infomation about the manufacturer warranty, now what should I do? This is the bad side of these lights so before purchasing these lights must keep this thing in mind that what would you do if the light breaks after the 3 months warranty period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outperformed an LED or Incandesent in the stock configuration in the can... I just bought two of these for replacing a damaged trim/lense set that was on the downlights over my bathtub and shower. Like most of the modern LED solutions these days, they were largely simple and painless to install. The Edison base adapter screwed into the socket and then the light plugged into the adapter and the spring clips were just like the trim plates would've had, just clip them to the hooks in the can and push the whole fixture into place. End result was actually beyond merely impressive. People just don't realize just how much light they lose out of a downlight can unless it's polished or you're using a reflector flood (NOT reccomended for this particular application, by the way...)- the light from a true 75 watt bulb in the can with the lens and trim doesn't compare to the results these retrofit kits give. (This is WHY some complain about the things being "too bright". They don't realize that they're dropping about "20-40 watts" of light on the floor with the downlight design.) If you're replacing anything other than reflector floods with these, you'll probably find the same thing I did. I'll be pulling the 75 watt LEDs in the other locations and replacing them with these shortly- and moving the LEDs elsewhere since they're still good. If you're replacing 60w reflector floods, you'll get the same basic results with these with less heat and power consumption.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Lights i just installed a set of 4 of these in my bedroom 16'x16'. I have to say i love these lights. i was a little concerned that there was not going to be enough light because they were LED but i was plesantly surprised that there was more than enough light from the four of these lights. I was amazed how this lighting has COMPLETELY transformed the look of my bedroom that it doesnt even seem like my bedroom anymore.( but in a good way) I have these lights on a dimmer becuase sometimes there is just a little too much light. overall i love these lights and wish i would have purchased more as they were on sale. Installation was simple just plug and play

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value In my area, these lights are subsidized $10 off from the utility company (PG&E), but only in the white color (T85) and not in the nickel color (T86). I've noticed that only 2 of the 3 stores I visited in their service area have the subsidy, so it might be worth looking around if you are going to buy more than a few. You might be able to see which stores do this using the "store pickup" feature. I have 6 in my 13x15 bedroom, 4 in the 10x10 guest bedroom, 4 in the 10x10 office, and 8 in the 13x17 entryway.(3x3 grid, except center one is a 60" ceiling fan). They work great! Super easy to install in my H750RICAT 6"/retrofit/AirTite/IC cans, also available at my local HD's. Other models that fit them are: 6"/new work/AirTite/IC can H750ICAT; 5"/retrofit/AirTite/IC can H550RICAT; 5"/new work/AirTite/IC can H550ICAT. See the naming pattern yet? For 4" cans H995RICAT and H995ICAT, you'll want to use the T81 (white) or T82 (nickel) model of LED instead. These are a wonderful 3000K, or maybe closer to white. They are certainly not blue. The color on all 22 of mine are visually identical, purchased in 3 separate trips over 3 months. They operate for hours without flicker. If using a dimmer, you'll want to get a CFL/LED dimmer rated for 150 watts (not an incandescent dimmer rated for 600 watts). I personally chose the Lutron Skylark Contour CFL/LED dimmer, A16 on the shelf tag, model CTCL-153PDH-WH. Using an incandescent dimmer will make the dimmer hum, make them flicker while the dim level is being moved up or down, and for me, caused an odd buzzing noise at my main breaker panel that freaked me out. Install takes 30 seconds after you figure out the first one. Instructions assume you know how to do it, but essentially you grab the spring, fold it in half, and put it into the clip on the side away from you. Letting it hang, connect the orange power connector, and then folder the second spring and attach it. Push up while twisting back and forth each direction gently to make it seat snugly against the ceiling. The only cons are that they exhibit "pop on", in other words the dimmer needs to be set to 50% or more before they'll turn on. They take about half a second to turn on once power is applied. And the trim is a little too bulky to look like a traditional incandescent can trim, but looks fine once it's on the ceiling. The fact that these lights have the built in trim means you'll save $20 or so on a trim ring and reflector/baffle, cutting the costs to install drastically. This puts them on par with incandescent cans when subsidized, and cheaper than GU-24 base ballasted cans. I wish I'd used these in my kitchen instead of the GU-24 base CFLs. Oh well. The home theater will get these next, probably 6 of them in two banks of 3. These are 100x better than the T91 LEDs I previously tried. Note that these are far too bright for me to consider installing without dimmers. I installed them 25" O.C. from each wall, and they cast a nice rounded shape about 2' down from the ceiling line on each wall that gives a great ambiance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, great quality of light a couple years ago we installed LED lights and my wife didn't like the type of light at all - it was kind of blueish and almost like a special effects light. We installed these lights and may like them even more than traditional incandescent light - the technology on these things has really improved. I also tried a dimmable CFL bulb, but was not as bright and not great looking- didn't like it so much. We use these in the basement playroom, tv room, bathroom. I also think they look much better than traditional canisters where you can see up into the can. Great bright light and really easy to install./

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than CFL's These kits were simple to install and provide instant light verus CFL's that take minutes to warm up. They contain no mercury so are much more environmentally friendly. If you purchase in VT, Efficiency VT subsidizes them and the cost is around $ 20.
