Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product A Decent price This product works well but the price seems to be high compared to other products if they are purchased online May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The product was exactly as described I had purchased some of the cheaper crimpers on eBay and Amazon only to be disappointed.. These are the best I have used in this price range. May 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not good The crimping teeth don't line up well and results in a poor connection. Too much slop and play in the mechanisms. March 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by You will buy a quality tool after you waste your time and money on this piece of garbage. I regret buying this tool. I wasted my money. I used this tool about 10 times and after that it would not make a good connection. Not only did I waste my money on this tool but also the time I spent on the the data plugs (RJ-45) I crimped that did not work. I gave this tool a try and will never buy a Commerical Electric product again. I am an electrician and have used Klein Tools for almost my whole career (39 years). The most expensive tool is usually the one that costs the least in the beginning. Not only do you have a problem doing the job first time you get to do it a second time after you go out and buy a quality tool. Live and learn. December 20, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not for CAT6 cable! OK for CAT5 I bought this for use on CAT6 cable but soon discovered that it cuts the CAT6 cable outer sheath too much resulting in nicks on the individual wires even enough to cause them to break off. It works ok on CAT5 cable which is slightly less in diameter than CAT6. February 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good for the price Most ratcheting units cost more. Feels heavy duty. Holds the connectors firmly and crimps well. Strips phone wire easily. The one drawback is that it doesn't seem to strip ethernet cable properly no matter how I adjust the razor, always seems to slightly cut a little too deep and nick the wires - but most crimpers are bad at this. safest thing is to just use a thin scissor, or those cheap cable stripper things the cable guys use to strip round cable. Also, it has no locking mechanism for storage, so i just close it as much as the ratchet mechanism will hold it at (better than just leaving it fully open). These are only minor drawbacks however, and at this price these crimpers are a great buy - whether you do alot of crimping or just a few here and there. stay away from cheap non ratcheting crimpers. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would be great if it worked right! There is no need for the ratchet. I had to break it to get it to work right. Even the tightest crimp was to loose. It never got the jacket crimped down at the base of the connector so all the strength of the crimp was in the wires themselves. Which can just be pulled off with a good tug. I've owned many crimping tools in my 25 years as a computer network engineer and this one is the worst!!! September 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by minimal It works but not too well, poor quality and construction January 6, 2015
