When this unit is running you'll hear the fan blowing. If you need complete silence to sleep you probably want to keep shopping. I used the heater to warm up the room before bed and then shut it off when I went to sleep.

It's really quiet and nicely designed. The only thing I would change is to have a handle on the top as the front and back get HOT, and it can be hard to move around using only the sides (which stay cool). Other than that, this heater is the best electric space heater we have ever used, and in the smallest footprint. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small Bathroom Heater The item was intended to heat a small bathroom shower and toilet area, approximately 3 feet by 8 feet. Had no place to mount the heater. Had expected to wall-mount the heater. Required extensive bracketing to mount. Heat output was/is disappointingly too small. Presently using a typical hair blower/dryer which does a great job heat wise, but looks kinda red necky.

A bit awkward to handle while hot, there is no place to really grab it by. The only component that gets hot is the front grate. The rest of the metal will stay cool to the touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crane ceramic heater We wanted a small heater that was ceramic (no coils), that had high and low settings, and that did not require 1500 watts (for power use and safety reasons). Even on the high setting, this heater is only 1200 watts. The low setting (600 watts) is equal to the task of heating a small bathroom, which is what we wanted the heater for. It never activates the safety switches on the circuit as 1500 watt heaters are prone to do. The heater has a metal casing and has a sturdier and more solid feel than other small heaters we saw. Because the heater is very small, it stores conveniently when not in use. I am extremely satisfied with this product. It is exactly what I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is truly an Excellent product in design, workmanship, and quality. I purchased this space heater for my Mother as she is 90 and when she gets up in the morning she is usually a little cold. Now when she sits at the breakfast table with this heater set on low she has been very comfortable.I was impressed with the Quality such as being built very durable, encompassed by aluminum, has a nice heft to it, a metal grill on the front, a removable filter on the back and can warm up a small room of about 10x12. I looked at many other small ceramic heaters and everyone I seen was built out of plastic and seemed kind of cheap, didnt have enough heft to them which relates to tipping over easy. That won't happen with this one, its just right. And for the price your really getting your moneys worth. Also the fan noise is not very loud it's pretty quite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Heater! I have two spaces that need localized heat - my mudroom and my master bedroom closet. Because the outlets for these rooms are on the same breaker, I was having trouble finding heaters that didn't trip the breaker when both were on at the same time. Just as I was giving up all hope, I came across this little beauty that uses only 600 watts on the low setting. I bought 2 and voila! Both can be on the low setting simultaneously and the breaker doesn't trip! It gives off decent heat as well so I would recommend if low wattage is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of heat in a little package. This Crane Ceramic PTC Heater does not have handles. That is about the only fault I can find with it, and it doesn't really need handles since it is so light. Otherwise, it is an excellent buy! For the price, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't buy at least on of these. It heats up my bathroom very quickly, and can even warm up a lager room after several minutes. I will likely buy another one, and I recommend this to anyone who wants to stay warm in the New York winter without paying $300-$400 per month for whole house radiant heat.
