Customer Questions & Answers

Does this hook up no problem to Cub Cadet LTX 1050 tractor? Does it come with a hose to do sign clean-ups?

I have a Cub Cadet LTX 1050. Need a side extension hose to get leaves where the tractor can't drive over.
Asked by: freakbag
you have to buy a very expensive kit to extend pick-up into flower beds, but the pick-up hose it comes with is about 6 feet... So work that rake a little or spent the bigbucks.

will the Cub Cadet 205 cc Brigs & Stratton Gas Tow Behind Mow-N-Vac fit the John Deere L120 riding mower deck and work properly

Asked by: Anonymous
If you download the 'Instructions/Assembly' PDF, you'll see that this item is the Agri-Fab Mow-N-Vac. They didn't even bother to change the instruction manual. Search their website, or ask them, what templates come with the instructions. The adapter that fits to your mower deck is a 'universal' adapter that you fit, using the template. That previous answer about 'cross-brand applications' is someone not knowing their own product, and that it is a tow behind, universal implement. I have the Agri-Fab model and use it on a Poulan Pro 26 Hp tractor with a 48 inch deck. The templates worked fine for that deck, and I'm sure it would work fine for the L120, also.

205 cc Brigs & Stratton Gas Tow-Behind Mow-N-Vac is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from some assembly required? It took 2 people for much of the bolting up a total to date 24 man hours and I am still working out the bugs. I will probably never buy cub cadet and this has soured me on buying from Home Depot. Agreeing with a previous reviewer the back door is way too much work and after a few uses it fails- so I am having to look for a more solid replacement .. The dump just does not dump so I had to install a drag sheet so I could empty it without help (a rake cut short laid flat before closing the door). The vacuum line clamps would not hold so I had to bolt it into place .. the cheap plastic wing nuts on the cheap plastic intake sleeve did not hold past one use so I had to replace all 3 with steel wing nuts. The 'universal' adaptor to the deck was a joke so I purchased a separate bagging attachment chute from the manufacturer of the deck and fashioned an adaptor to the vacuum hose. The engine mounts have vibrated loose twice and will have to be welded before they hold -- that will subject the entire frame to corrosion. the wheels are on cheap aluminum sleeves - not ball bearings- and the tires would not hold air until I 'slimed' them. I could have purchased from (your best competition) and hired a mechanic and machinist to assemble it for less than the total I wasted on this junk.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The concept was good but the design was poor. Despite reading not so good reviews about this product I went ahead and purchased one for $1,699.00. Assembly wasn't too difficult although it would be good to have someone help as the motor and blower assembly is quite heavy. My biggest complaint is that the rear door which is held on by two little bungee cords doesn't have the strength to hold a trailer full without pushing open. I had to purchase a ratcheting hold down strap and run it across the back of the trailer in place of the bungee cords and it seems to work fine. Additionally the flexible boot that attaches the trailer to the blower discharge wears out quickly and is poorly fitting to begin with. As the trailer fills the boot inflates and the elastic band that holds it to the shoot opens up and debris begins blowing out (at me) when the trailer is only 1/2 full. I ended up wrapping a plastic strap around the boot to keep it tight but I can't use the dump feature as a result. Because it is a universal part, fitting the plastic discharge adapter to the mower deck is a bit difficult although it does come with templates that fit many different mowers it did not have one for my RZT Cub Cadet so I had to improvise. As a result of the repairs I have made it seems to be working OK for now. After all that the thing that really upset me is that I see what apperas to be the exact same unit being sold by Agri-Fab on line for $1,199.00, I guess I paid an extra $500.00 for the yellow paint and Cub Cadet logo?
