how do you switch a J3-4H/C faucet stem from hot to cold direction

I can only find J3-4H/C faucet stem that rotates to open counter-clockwise. how do you switch a J3-4H/C faucet stem from hot to cold direction (clockwise to open)
Asked by: RB
Thank you for your inquiry. There is not a way to reverse the direction of this stem. It is intended for use on faucets with round handles that both turn the same direction (counterclockwise) to open.

What size screw secures the handle?

I've installed it & don't want to remove it to go back to the store but the old screws don't work & there's nothing on the packaging about it or that I can find under the product specifications
Asked by: nolan
Thank you for your inquiry. This stem takes a 1/2" x 8-32 oval head screw for the handle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DANCO 3J-4H/C Hot/Cold Stem for Nibco Faucets This part is used on a 2-handle bathroom sink. The description is incorrect since this part will only work on the hot water (left) side. If you attempt to use this part on the right (cold) side the right handle works backwards (i.e.In the off position the handle points straight back at the user and to turn on the cold water you must push the handle away from the user.) On the hot water side the off position is away from the user and to turn on the water you pull the handle toward the user. Bottom line, there is a discrete part for hot and cold sides and they are not the same. The difference is that the stems turns in different directions and cutouts on the bottom are mirror images of each other. 1) This is a dumb design for a faucet since the cartridges for each side are different. 2) The packaging indicates that it works as hot or cold. This is false. 3) The cold water cartridge seems impossible to find. Sigh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These are complete garbage These are easy to install, but that could be because I've had to change them out more than 10 times in the last year. How hard is it to make a decent quarter turn valve that doesn't completely fall apart? The design is ludicrous: mulitple o-rings, a spring(really?), and terrible plastic. Avoid this awful product at all costs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another one fails I'm on my 5th valve this year. I wish I could find an alternative. It may end up cheaper for me to replace the whole valve setup to get something that uses more reliable stems.
