i LIKE ONE OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS HAD A BROKEN SPIGOT HANDLE FOR MY WASHER SPIGOTS. i WENT HUNTING FOR THE RED AND BLUE CHEAP HANDLES AND FOUND THAT EITHER DIDN'T FIT MY 16 SPLINE OR JUST DID NOT WORK OUT SO I THOUGHT THESE WERE HUGE BUT LOOKED SOLID, SO I THOUGHT WHY NOT......WELL LOW AND BEHOLD THE ONE THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE ANOTHER FAILURE WORKED. THE SCREW THAT CAME WITH IT WAS JUST A LITTLE TOO BIG IN DIAMETER BUT THE LENGTH WAS FINE SO I JUST HAPPEN TO GO THRU MY BOXES OF SCREWS AND FOUND ONE THAT WAS THE SAME BUT FIT! HAPPY CAMPER! I USED THE ADAPTER ON A SIDE THAT FIT AND REPLACED BOTH WASHER SPIGOTS.

The universal adapter fit the outdoor faucet from my 1952 house, but the screws included were too wide. I had to buy correct sized screw separately and a lock washer to hold it in place, as the screw wouldn't stay tight on its own. Nice handle to update and old faucet if you don't mind buying the extra parts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joe It Fit and is much better than original spigot handle
When it comes to universal fit, its probably too broad a claim. Fit results will probably vary by geography and age. For a home in Texas built in the 2000's ,it was a perfect fit for a broken standard oval green spigot handle see in all the home stores. Also has much better grip than the cheaper smaller round handles.

I bought this to replace the big plastic knobs in my shower. Sounds silly I know. But the old one was a16 pt round shaft. This fit right over the stem with the adapter and was the perfect fit!

We were assured this would work it did not work. It was too big. The spline is a 16 count. The diameter of the stem is 1/4 inch. Others have problems too with Danco products. What is going on?

"Universal"? In a pig's eye. It didn't come close to matching the spline on the valve's shaft. One side of the adapter piece too big, the other too small. Just for chuckles I tried the screws. None of them were of the proper diameter and thread pitch either. I threw the works in the garbage. Not worth my time to wait around in line at HD to return it.

I bought this to replace the cheap plastic handle I had bought to replace the original handle on my Mansfield/Prier frost free faucet. The cheap plastic handle that is made to replace the original didn't even last a years time.I bought this one and found the stem to large of a diameter to go into the plastic packing nut and reach the square valve stem so I ground it down on a 1" belt sander until it would slide into the valve. The Mansfield/Prier uses a 1" 1/4"-20 hex head bolt which in turn meant I had to drill the stem out to 1/4" size plus use a longer bolt.Worked great after modification.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaveinPennsylvania Worked Great --Better than the standard red faucet handles
I bought this at my local Home Depot to replace the old standard red outdoor faucet handle. We bought the home in 1986 and that handle was there when we bought it. It was only used a few times each summer but it finally disintegrated from rust after approximately 30 years. (the home was built in 1982 and we replaced the handle in 2012.)
This Universal handle is so much better than what was there before. We no longer have any leakage at the faucet handle area with this new handle. Previously we always lost a good deal of water at the handle area when the faucet was on. The handle is slightly larger than the standard outdoor red handles you see on outdoor faucets and it is much better constructed. It feels sturdy and rugged and we have no leaks from it at all.Easy to install took only 5 minutes mostly to get the tools we needed. Definitely recommend it !!!
