Weldwood 1 Gal. Non-Flamable Contact Cement is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, just never in stock anywhere I prefer this to the solvent-based cement but you can never find it on the shelf. It is so much nicer to work without the fumes of the solvent=based cement. I have used it a number of times in the past but over the past 6 months I have looked for it at 2 hardware stores, 2 big box stores, my 2 local lumber yards a couple of times at each place and no one has it in stock. I have asked Home Depot to get some in and every time I am there (which is at least once a week) I look for it and never in stock.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as tacky enough for this job. I tried this glue it was not as tacky enough for the job, now I'm stuck with a 95% of the can. So I went back to Home Depot to buy pannel Glue that work perfectly. I'm sure dap glue works well with other projects but not hanging these three D pannel not at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever. No adhesion. Worst product ever. I have used contact cement dozens of times over the years without any problem. I guess this "new formula" is the source of the problem, but after applying the cement to a laminate and substrate and waiting 30 minutes there was no adhesion when I put the two halfs together. NOT EVEN MILD adhesion. You could slide the two surfaces on each other as if there was no glue applied. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I can not believe that Home Depot is still selling this since it has a 100% failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for our purpose. We make Custom, high end furniture. We have to use common carriers to ship our work, and were experiencing unacceptable levels of damage. We began constructing multi-layer, thick cardboard boxes using this glue. We usually build boxes 4-6 layers thick, with the edges and corners even thicker. Our customers love the safety, and complain that it takes them hours to unpack a bed or dresser. This really works well, and we don't have to breathe the fumes associated with solvent based contact cements. We use a small 2" disposable paint brush to apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for art projects. Works great for very large scale papier-mâché projects as long as the humidity is not too high. Too much and it delaminates cardboard. I buy 4 gallons at a time. HD has it for the best price I have found.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for what it is intended. I had lowered expectations since this was the eco-friendly version of the powerful smelling solvent based type. I used both types back to back when I ran out of the solvent based (same brand, red label). Usually the worse it smells and the more toxic, the better it works. However, after using it according to the directions, which only differ because it requires you to wait 30 minutes instead of 15, I was amazed at the results. First, it applies much smoother because it is thinner. It looks milky white until it dries. I used two coats because I was worried. Remember, with contact cement you are NOT suppose to feel any adhesion when you touch the surface. It is suppose to be completely dry but not longer than 2 or 3 hours after application. It only bonds when the two coated surfaces come together. I used it on Formica counters and as soon as it touched I could barely reposition the workpiece, even with only the corner in contact. I couldn't believed it stuck so well, applied even easier, and barely smelled at all. I have a feeling people who are claiming it doesn't work aren't using it correctly or on the wrong surfaces. By the way, I didn't clean off the old contact cement from the original laminate top and it worked fine..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I fabricate foam and this is not an adhesive Im surprised that Home Depot still stocks it and the fact that you can't return it because u try it if u want an adhesive use the red container the original it takes forever for it to barely stick DON'T BUY
