Does it have a 4-stroke engine?
When does the warranty start? Winter?
When does the service contract start? After the warranty expires? Or does it cover more than the warranty does?

I was told when I bought it that it would not come assembled, but thankfully it did. It has plenty of power even in the lowest of 6 gears, to pull me up the hill, and is geared to control its descent. It does not have a 4-stroke and therefore may pollute - it blew smoke at first and then stopped blowing visible smoke. The contract stars on delivery, which is not fair for a snow blower in Summer, but it is what it is. The warranty has to expire before an extended contract would start, except for remorse return shipping fees, and a few other smaller items. All parties are unclear as to details of what is covered, which seems strange for experienced companies. Maybe they will cover whatever is needed, but they don't commit to that. Read Less

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dec 30 in. snowblower I wanted a large snow blower for a long and uneven driveway which is rock and pavement. Very happy with the power and performance of the machine. After a learning curve on the features, it is doing what I couldn't do by hand, very happy with it! August 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My replacement snow blower This snow blower replaced one that I've had for several years. I have a fairly steep driveway, and need chains to assure traction, going up hill. It is much heavier than my previous unit, but has plenty of throw power for clearing the driveway and parking area. It has been easy to start, and operate. May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SNOW BLOWER EVALUATION SNOW BLOWER VERY LOUD HARD TO MANUVER DRIVE LEVER STICKS OCCASIONALLY MAKING IT HARD TO STOP BELIEVE IT IS HANGING UP IN LEVER AREA . SNOW BLOWER THOUGH IS QUITE POWERFUL MAKING IT ADEQUATE FOR THE BIGGEST JOB. STRUTURE IS HEAVE DUTY MADE TO RUN FOR MANY YEARS IF MAINTAINED PROPERLY May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SNOWSTORMS ARE COMING BIGGER AND MORE FREQUENT. THE AUGER ON THIS MACHINE IS GREAT. WE HAD 16" OF SNOW AND SHE WORKED LIKE A CHAMPION. POWERFUL MOTOR. I AM NOT CONCERNED ANYMORE WHEN THEY SAY IT'S GOING TO BE A BLIZZARD April 21, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by big snowblower The blower broke after the second big snowstorm. I'm not sure what it is it doesn't throw the snow I'm hoping its just a pin. April 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buyer beware I purchased one of these before and it broke numerous times and GXi would not repair it under the warranty. You have been warned. January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Can't wait to try it!!!! To start off, I am excited to use this machine. My criticism of the machine are the following: First, the hardware kit bag was missing off the machine when I unpacked it. Did not know it was missing until I unwrapped it at home. The positive on this, I called the manufacture and they are sending me out a hardware kit bag no problem, right a way. Second, I noticed some of the welds on the auger housing were really sloppy in a couple of areas. This is a real concern since most of the welding is spot welded. Lastly, my last snow blower had power assist on it for turning. When you go to turn and hit the power assist it would lock the one wheel and depending on which way you wanted to go, the machine would turn with very little effort using the power of the machine. When I tried to turn this machine without it, I noticed that I will miss that, and will require more effort to turn. June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by trying a snow blower in summer The off season discount was great! It came assembled. This was a huge plus, and I had been told it would not come assembled when I ordered it. It arrived on skids wrapped in shrink wrap. It has tremendous power to spare. It seems to be well and strongly constructed. The tires are big and well treaded. But ... the turning of such a weighty machine without separated wheel articulation requires a lot of strength, even when tipped back, at least on dry pavement, and requires counter-balancing the machine with body weight. The machine is noisy enough to make my ears ring and will require wearing ear protection, so I anticipate neighbor complaints. Snow handling will not be seen till winter, but the huge blades look up tot he job, and the chute is easily controlled They say not to pull the wheel engaging controls part way [like squeezing a hand brake] for speed-control, as this will cause more wear, but the power of the machine, even in the lowest gear, requires doing so at times, and especially while turning it. I look forward to trying it in snow. The delivery driver was patient and very helpful. It was hard to tell that oil was already in the lubricant tank, because the clear oil does not show well on the dip stick. They also don't inform you. The instruction book doesn't show where oil can be removed from. There is a removable plug on a tube below. August 4, 2015
