Tried using the 5/32 and 9/64 to drill through some soft 1" angle iron. Both bits bent. did not break, but they bent to 60 deg angle. not much good after that. finally drilled hole with self taping screw......

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WildMan Worst set of bits I've ever bought from Home Depot!
Lousy bits, will NOT DRILL METAL WORTH A DARN, have used this kind before, this batch was VERY DISAPPOINTING, VERY UPSET BET WHAT DO YOU DO.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brian Shanks are terrible
I buy dewalt if I can because they produce quality tools. That being said these bits are horrible. The "no-spin shanks" are completely cylindrical - the pins in the drill have nothing to hold on to. I use a dewalt drill so I know it's not some weird branding thing - the bits actually fall out of the drill 40% of the time. They are very aggressive bits which is good but the shanks render them useless. This is the worst product, it pains me to say I'm going to put these up and buy some bits with decent shanks.

My project required the accuracy of drilling four 1/4" holes in the quarter panel of an antique car without any paint chips or any two of the holes being off center to each other. The project was finished without a flaw!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HomeUser01 I own 3 or 4 of these
I use these for Wood/brass/nickel-silver and aluminum
Some steel as well. I do not have any problems with these bits.
I usually wind up shorting the bits for my application in small (limited) spaces.
for replacements, The price of an individual bit that matches the set is too high compared to buying the entire set.
I would love to have individual of 3/8s if the bit wasn't nearly half the price of the entire set.
which could replace older or missing bits from sets.
I go through 1/8 bits as well, but I buy them by the 2 pack, which isn't as bad as the 3/8
The pilot which drills deeper than the rest of the bit is nice for starting, but a lot of my applications don't require this. I think a smaller pilot tip would work just as well. Overall it's the one I buy.

Excellent buy. Wood and tin use is great . having the 1/2 drive ability is useful

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by commercialCarpenter good for the first hole
The drill bits are great quality. But i hate the pilot point it does not center its self having the flat cutting surface. They are not a good buy for general use i would not buy them again i will stick with the old style of bit.
