Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great, one component of an overall drip system I've been using these for years, no complaints at all. A few things to keep in mind: 1. Assembly is a lot easier on a hot, sunny day (the more unpleasant for you, the better for the tubing). If that's not possible, dip the tubing in hot water, the fitting will slide right in. 2. It's really really difficult to take these apart. So buy some extras. 3. Make sure to use a pressure reducer. Full domestic pressure can damage your system.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Barbed connector has limited functionality While this product works well for connecting two lengths of 1/4" tubing, it does not work well for connecting to 1/2" tubing with the hole cut by the hole cutter tool. The straight end does not penetrate well and should be cut at an angle. There is another product available with this improvement, but it is more costly and typically not available on the shelf.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Always difficult These are just torturous to insert into 1/4 inch tubing and I wish I could get my money back. Just absolutely pitiful. I also have some of another companies and they work very well, the ends are cut diagonally and therefore slip in fairly easily.... but I am stuck with using these up unfortunately. I am surprised that a store as big as Home Depot would be willing to sell these. I have all of the types, darn. I assume they never use them or are stuck with them and have to sell them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible!! Tried to put these buggers into a drip line and all it did was rip the irrigation line. Worst product ever made. Keep looking elsewhere or you will regret buying this. I do!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very small, kind of annoying unless you read this review first Very small. Trying to handle 100s of these at a time will cause your thumb to get VERY sore and bruised. =P If your 1/4" tubing is cold and not lubricated it will be very tough to get the barbed connector into the tubing. If you press this connector into the 1/2" tubing and then try to press the 1/4" tubing onto the connector, it will require so much force that you are liable to damage the 1/2" tubing and cause a small leak at the connection. Be careful, piece together your 1/4" branch and THEN connect the branch to your 1/2" tubing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm your tubing first Use a heat source such as a very hot hair dryer, or a lighter (beware of this unless your only option). Lightly heat the tube so that the connector will easily slip in. If using a lighter, only 1 or two secods near will do the trick. Do not overheat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap If you want to save a little money, and have the time to do the job twice, this is the product for you. It's CHEAP and it's Cheap. You will have to order twice as many drippers as you need, because you will need to replace the ones that don't work. You will also need to order twice as many 1/4 in. Elbows, and T's as you need because they break. The 1/4 in. Feeder line is ridged and hard to work with, but if you have lots of time it will work. The 1/4 in. Barbed fittings, to attach to the 1/2 in. Main line leak, and are hard to work with. In my opinion after fighting with DIG drip irrigation products all summer, I wish I had paid a little more up front, and started with a better product, and only had to do it once.
