Generous features, smaller footprint with turntable is what I was looking for, and this Danby model definitely met all three requirements! Time/weight defrost, 30 second option, lighted turntable operation. The footprint is one of the smallest I could find, yet surprisingly, our 11" dinnerplate fits due to recessed areas on sides and back. (Note: Our plates have raised sides that allow them to fit into recessed areas - a perfectly flat 11" would be too large.) 700 watts is all we need to reheat/defrost. Surprising little powerhouse and the price is a plus! Shipped to our home and was received in perfect condition due to its excellent packaging.

As I am not sure how long I will be living where I currently am, size was perfect. Should I not need a microwave, it's great for a dorm / work room. Plusses: not huge electricity pull, turntable was marginally larger than others of same size, no stainless steel fingerprints to deal with. Will slip on counter when push button to open door; however, I used a small PVC pipe piece at each of back corners--PVC keeps microwave away from back wall also. Time will tell if quality and durability are there, but so far perfect.

I had a 12 year old 1100 watt microwave that died and it was the same size as this smaller, weaker model (different brand). I do not use it much so I wasn't concerned with less wattage. However, the key pad has all but worn off in less than 6 months, and this is NOT used daily. Water collects inside the microwave and it has to be wiped out. Heating a beverage always takes 2 turns with the beverage button. Popcorn never pops fully, even when I set the time instead of using the button and stand there to montor kernals popping.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by HLG1 Way too much condensation collects
When I first got the microwave, I loved the size and look. After using it for a year, I realize that either the small size or a manufacturing defect is causing water to collect under the turntable. I have to lift the turntable and sop up the water almost every time I use it, especially for rice that I cook for 5 1/2 minutes. There's also a large amount of condensation inside the door that needs to be wiped down or it will give the microwave a mildew smell. I'm disappointed with the microwave and would not buy it again. Also, the keypad cover is crinkly, I can't get it off so I don't think its removable, but I can't smooth it out either. Makes the unit look cheap.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ruth5151 Very weak microwave
This microwave is very small, which is great in our small kitchen. It does not, however, really work very well at all. I love popcorn (not in bags, but just kernels microwaved in a bowl), but this microwave takes 10 minutes to pop even a small amount!
I would not recommend this product. There are higher-quality small microwaves out there. Get one of those.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KM013 Great Price, Reliable ... Albeit Small
If you need a small microwave to reheat things, this one by Danby is a great little unit. It is, however, very small, and it took me a few days to discover that it was not large enough to pop a bag of microwave popcorn in it, as once it expanded, it filled the inside! This IS a well-constructed unit, however, and Danby is a reliable manufacturer.
