Has anyone actually tried this paint before you put it on the shelves? As a furniture business owner, I purchase excessive amounts of paint. This particular brand is a poor excuse for "chalk" paint. I purchased the Americana Décor paint in several colors and sizes. This color, Romance, did not cover at all. It took three coats, and I finally decided to sand it off and start over with a different brand. I will not recommend this paint. It is very translucent and shows all of your brush marks. Buyers BEWARE, you are wasting your money.

I have to say Americana Décor is a wonderful chalk paint. Not only is it cheaper, but it definitely covers wood like no other. One thing you DO have to do before you use it is make sure you stir it and get all the paint mixed up good because it can develop clumps on the bottom after time, thereby "thinning" the surface, which may have happened in the previous previewer. I love the fact I can put it on furniture that has not been sanded despite having coats and coats of paint or stain and polyurethane covering on it. I will say that if you are covering these products, then you will need to use 2-3 coats (depending on the color and contrast) on the furniture. However, if you are putting it on sanded furniture, it only needs 1 coat with maybe touch ups after the 1st coat dries. Now that I know Home Depot has this paint, I won't have to spend twice as much money for 1/2 as much paint on Annie Sloan's chalk paint! Just an FYI - I've used Vintage, Everlasting, Carbon, Primitive, and Lace in this paint so I know what I'm talking about!
