Product Overview

Specially designed for cutting composite material, the 12 in. x 84-Tooth Diablo TrexBlade features Modified Triple Chip Grind tooth geometry for exceptional durability in cutting highly abrasive materials. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, this durable blade is outfitted with 84 teeth to make smooth, finely finished cuts in deck boards, giving outdoor retreats a polished look. The Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating reduces drag while stabilizer vents absorb noise and vibration to keep the blade straight. An ultra-slim kerf produces a thin cut for less material removal and fast, effortless operation.

  • Freud TiCo high-density carbide is specially formulated to maximize cutting life in composite materials and plastics
  • Modified Triple Chip Grind (MTCG) fabrication keeps composite material cool while cutting, producing melt-free cuts
  • Laser-cut stabilizer vents absorb noise and vibration, keeping the blade straight and true for superior quality cuts
  • Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating reduces drag and shields the blade against heat, gumming and corrosion
  • Super-thin kerf provides fast, clean cuts with minimal material removal, ideal for underpowered saws on a job site
  • Not intended for use above 6000 RPM
  • Not recommended for ferrous metals or masonry

Answer:
Bill,
This blade is not designed for Hardie, you would be better of to use part #D0704DH as it is specifically designed for this material.

Answer:
Hi, Jim - We do recommend using the Trex line of blades to provide the best cuts on Cellular PVC. The Diablo 7 ¼” x 44T, 10” x 72T, and 12” x 84T will work the best.

Answer:
This gave a remarkably clean cut on my pergo and trim. As always, place good side down when cutting with circular saw. You will also get a cleaner cut using a corded saw vs a cordless saw.

I bought it for ripping Trex decking and found that it provides superior cuts in hardwoods, melamine board and other materials. Nearly jointer-smooth cuts if you've got your technique down. It is one of my go-to blades for both my portable contractor's saw and my shop cabinet saw. Just remember you can't push the cut - the gullets on this blade have 0 hook angle so they don't clear chips as fast. Makes a very nice clean cut. Also have the 12" version of this on my big sliding compound miter saw if I'm not using my ultra-fine finish blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used as sheet metal blade I purchased it to cut insulated metal wall panels. 24 gauge/26 gauge steel skins, 2-1/2" insulation, 42" wide. We are getting over 100 cross/cuts per blade. And the blades then were not missing carbide teeth; they were just finally getting dull. They preform as well or better than blades specifically designed to cut light metal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cut hardwood bamboo flooring Selected to get clean cuts in 4 1/2 flooring, large bedroom. Dulled somewhat toward the end. I don't think I needed to spend the high price for this blade as I used a basic blade for long cuts with a regular power saw and had no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best From the seeds program. I Was doing some trim work in a friends house. The finish cut blade i was using went bad. i grabbed this blade. as it was the only one i had. worked beautiful. Finished up the trim and some other fine cutting things. Kept on going strong. he then asked me to lay down some laminate flooring. Didnt feel like spending fifty dollars on that blade, and haveing to drive an hour one way to get it. So in return i just used this blade and it went right on through. No problems. Still cuts nice and clean.
