Michelle, DreamLine does not make a version of this door with both panels moving. With any sliding door there is going to be some sort of rod or guide rail for the moving panel to slide on. We do have the Charisma and Duet shower doors which have 2 moving panels. The only sliding door that we have that does not have an upper guide rail is the Mirage, but that has one stationary panel and one moving Read More

From the top of my bath tub to the top of the tile is 60 inches. The specs on the dreamline enigma have the height as 62 inches. Does that cause an install issue?

garyromo99, Yes, this would be an issue. Tempered glass can not be cut down. DreamLine has many other tub door options that are 58" tall and would work perfectly. The Enigma-X will not work, unfortunately. I would suggest that you place "DreamLine Tub door" in The Home Depot search field and all of our options will come up for you. I have a customer that is wanting a door like this installed on an existing cast iron tub. It appears in some of the pictures that there is hardware that attaches through the top of the tub...Is this correct? and is there any recommendations for securing to the top of a cast iron tub?

Answer:
Yes, there was a small center piece that had to be adhered. The installers put this on my cast iron tub. I was told they used one drill bit to cut through the porcelain and then another to go through the cast iron. This was to prevent the porcelain from cracking. The manufacturer could provide more details.

The Enigma-X is required to have that guide block screwed into the tub because of the weight of the door. The guide block does then get clear, waterproof silicone caulk applied around it. Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good buy I had read about that this was hard to install. Thankfully I had 2 good guys to do it for me, it took about an hour and a half, so not so bad. It is a super-heavy piece and keep in mind if you have curb-side delivery and live in a walk-up apt, you should be ready to pay the delivery guys some extra cash to bring it upstairs. It looks fantastic and I love the thickness of the glass. In all a great buy! August 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful door cost was more than I wanted to spend BUT was worth every cent Great looking door that operates smoothly August 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tremendous bathroom enhancement!! Guests are stunned and amazed at the beauty and smoothness of this new door. It really sets off the quality of the overall bath restoration. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enigma shower door The door was installed on a complete remodel of our downstairs bathroom where we went from a fiberglass tub/shower enclosure to a tiled walk in shower. We selected this door because we thought it would give us higher end look in our remodel. We have had several comments on great the bathroom looks such as "it looks like a fancy hotel" or "it looks like remodel you would see on TV". The door has been installed for several months and opens and closes with ease. It is a solid and heavy door but not difficult to slide. I did install it with the help of a friend and it took approximately 5 hours for us to drill the holes (in ceramic tile), measure and remeasure bar length to make sure it would fit, etc. We followed the installation directions which were easy to understand. I do all my own remodeling and I would recommend anyone who decides to self install to download the instructions prior to purchasing to make sure the door will fit the size opening, the mounting studs are adequate and especially to make sure the mounting surfaces are perpendicular to the flooring or threshold. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High quality better than expected Beautiful and high quality. It was difficult to install, must be installed by two proffessional guys. But it looks amazing in my master bathroom. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend! June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dreamline Enigma Easy install for the do it your selfer. Comes with a water leak bar that I wish i didn't install. Other than that excellent product, worth the money compared to spending much more for professional to install August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lynapple We had this installed. It is beautiful and shows off the new wall tile nicely. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DreamLine Door on Cast Iron Tub We updated our 40+ year old bathroom and used this door on the new cast iron tub. It did take two installers to do the job. It is definitely heavy! They had no problem drilling into the tub (one bit for porcelain and another for the cast iron). The door looks and glides wonderfully. They sealed with clear calking on the walls and then on the tub. I haven't showered in the bathroom (guest bath) but I would still definitely recommend the door. High quality look and feel. I rated this 3 for ease of installation simply because it took two men and it was heavy. How it compares to an install of a more traditional door is beyond my experience. I am hopefully having this installed in our master bathroom and will let you know more at that time. October 3, 2015
